Great ambiance. Food was fantastic. Service was spot on. Everyone in our party of four were VERY happy with the dinner. We topped things off by sharing a piece of delicious… …Hummingbird Cake. If you don’t know what that is, it is NOT what you might think. And, yes, we bought t-shirts!

Great food! Our waitress was so knowledgeable & generous with her kindness! We will definitely be back next year in August when we’re back in town!

Waitress was quite dingy. Food was barely warm and pretty chewy. Ordered food without bacon because of religious beliefs and waitress acted like it was our lucky day that we got bacon anyway. We were there about a month ago and the food was very good. Our service was much better than this visit. Will be a while before we return. Hopefully they can improve on all points.

Ate here for the first time tonight. My son’s sirloin was pretty gristly but everything else was great. They had a few hiccups tonight as I was told it was their first time being open on a Wednesday but all in all nothing that was some major dilemma. Staff were excellent and the atmosphere was very nice!

Went recently with my mom and an old friend for mom’s 89th bday. Waited 30 min for service after seating- they seemed understaffed. Server was nice but trouble lurked… Mom got chicken alfredo something-something, friend got filet mignon “oscar” (low-rent crab meat, asparagus, which they were out of, and “hollandaise sauce”, which tasted canned at best), and I got ribeye, also “oscar”. Mom’s was underwhelming – could have gotten that made better anywhere else for much less; friend’s meal was ok except for the “oscar” bit, and my steak was black on the outside and totally raw inside (asked for medium rare.) Had to send mine back twice (a 25-minute effort) to get it done right, but I was full of waffle fries and other stuff by the time the steak was done right, and I could only eat 1/2 of it. I scraped off the “oscar” part from my steak, as it tasted cheap and half-ass. None of us saw fit to take home the plentiful leftovers. Friend (big guy) got 1 pc German Choc. cake and 1 pc carrot cake, and said both were way too sweet, but maybe that’s a TN thing. For all that, plus a domestic beer and a glass of wine, it was roughly $160 after tax. They took off ONE $10 piece of cake as an apology for all the trouble. Never going back.

Our first time here. Wonderful food, great service. Our foursome had strip steak, spaghetti w/ meatballs, chicken parm and fettuccine w/chicken. Every dish was well prepared and tasted great. The cakes for dessert we fabulous. We will be back.

We had a lovely dinner at Sandbaggers. The owner Mic greeted us warmly! The Calamari starter was outstanding might be the best we’ve had anywhere. Steaks cooked exactly as ordered and the sides were On Par! Excellent experience!!

Have eaten there twice, and ordered the Prime Rib both times. Both times it was very chewy, and I had to spit it out into my napkin. I bet they use a Choice standing rib roast, and slow cook it, then call it Prime Rib. Prime, in Prime Rib, refers to the quality of meat before it is cooked. If it is not a Prime rib roast, then call it what it is: Choice standing rib roast.

Once again, as many hidden jewels in Middle and Eastern TN, you cannot judge a book by its cover.
Sandbaggers is an amazing restaurant with incredible food and cocktails. From the outside, the restaurant seems rustic and run of the mill, however inside it is beautifully decorated and has a cozy and romantic atmosphere.
Our server, Madison, was professional, friendly and on the ball. The manager even took the time to come by our table and check on us.
We will absolutely go back.
I’ll admit that by regular standards, it was slightly more expensive, but the food, drinks and exceptional customer service were worth every penny!
