We chose this restaurant to celebrate our daughter’s 6th birthday and a night out with friends. We ordered the shareable Dino rib eye, duck French fries, mushrooms, and Mac and cheese.
Unfortunately we were never informed of the 45 minute delay for the Dino rib, so be aware of that.
They had amazing service and treated our daughter very well!
The Dino rib when it did arrive was very inconsistently cooked. It was well over Med-Rare which you can see in the photo, which was disappointing after waiting 45 minute. The Mac and cheese was cold and the mushrooms were as well. The fries arrived warm but many minutes later.
The chef came out and addressed all of our concerns, re-fired 2 new steaks and sides. I think we just were the 1 rare off meal they had and unfortunately that affected the review. We absolutely would return here to give them another chance on the Dino.

Beneath the peaks where shadows grow,
And Montana winds begin to blow,
I found a warmth against the frost,
Where every winter chill was lost.
The Peaks Chophouse stood its ground,
With the finest flavors to be found.
The truffle Mac—a golden dream,
Rich and earthy, smooth as steam.
And duck fat fries, crisp and deep,
A savory promise they truly keep.
But the heart of the night, the true North Star,
Was the spirit found behind the bar.
Andrea served with a soul so kind,
A better vibe you couldn’t find.
Despite the cold that bit the glass,
She ran the bar with a touch of class.
In the Big Sky night, everything was right—
A perfect meal, and a pure culinary delight.

The Wagyu NY strip was insanely delicious. Perfectly seared, super tender, and packed with flavor.
Paired it w a glass of red wine, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes and it was just next level.
Definitely a splurge, but one I’d do again.

Best. Meal. Ever. We don’t splurge like this often but this was absolutely worth every penny. Every dish we tried was the perfect balance of unique flavor and comforting familiarity. If you get the chance don’t skip the duck confit croquettes and lobster arancini. The A-5 Wagyu tenderloin was melt in your mouth amazing, executed perfectly, and unlike any cut of meat I’ve ever experienced. Just do it. You’re on vacation. I also snuck bites in the bison ribeye and the angus tenderloin and was not disappointed. I’m not sure you can go wrong here. The sides are also very impressive. I recommend sharing the mashed potatoes or mac and cheese both are comforting and a great option if you have kids at the table. But the roasted heirloom carrots are a show stealer. I know I’m gushing at this point but I don’t care, I can’t stress this enough … save room for dessert ! Here is what you need to do. Order the lava chocolate cake. That’s a must. If you have a group also share the bread pudding, and tiramisu. My husband says I need to find something negative to say so that you will believe I’m a real person who really ate here, but I can’t. The wait staff was so nice and attentive. The chef even came out personally to check on us and make sure we were having a nice time. I can’t recommend this place more. Thank you for the core memory meal.

I’ll start by prefacing that these are resort prices $$$$! But the food was phenomenal. During my stay, I ordered the Hamachi Crudo, beef tenderloin, short ribs, the beef bourguignon soup, and The chocolate cake. All of it was delicious. Good drinks too! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful dinner at this place and also had several great Aubrey ski afternoons with the bartender Frank. Frank has done a wonderful job servicing large groups when The Place was extremely busy. He was extremely friendly and even made hot chocolate for all the kids by scratch.

We had a wonderful breakfast here this morning. Our server Rachel was super nice, attentive, and made a perfect cappuccino. I had the Benedict and it was delicious— and I was skeptical of bison sausage with huckleberry hollandaise but it was really good. My husbands pancakes were also very good. Fluffy and not too sweet. Good experience overall.

Overpriced and undercooked. $65 for local “wagyu” beef that tasted like select at best, asked for medium, came out rare, but I’m not sending a steak back in to get god knows what done. Whole place was overpriced. Chet’s had better food and better prices.

Visited Peaks on our first trip to Big Sky for drinks and food. Husband and SIL had the Proper Old Fashioned and they were extremely pleased while my daughter and I sipped on the yummy Filthy Chai – all while taking in the snowy afternoon. We started with the Farm Board which left nothing to be desired. Then moved onto burgers/sandwiches as a meal which were good but resembled more typical ‘bar food’ from an entree perspective. Atmosphere was cozy as we had a table that provided a great view of the slopes.
