Samurai Sushi is without question or argument the best sushi restaurant in Nashville. Sushi virgins or those whose experience is limited to California or crunchy shrimp rolls will be transformed, with just one sensuous mouthful of a Choo Choo or Hawaiian roll, into wanton sushi sybarites.

The sushi was exceptional! However, the night ended kind of weird when the waiter asked my husband and I were we together or separate. I felt like it was kind of condescending based on the fact that we are an interracial couple. As a small business owner myself, Its extremely important not to offend your customers in order to retain customer loyalty. Just a word of advice! Keep up the good work on the food. It was the best sushi I’ve ever had. However, work on customer engagement

Everything was really good. We had the edamame, Korean chicken wings, dragon roll, and chicken teriyaki. Service was great and the atmosphere was nice. No complaints whatsoever.

Samurai Sushi East is my new favorite sushi place in Nashville. The sushi looks and tastes delicious and is expertly prepared. The staff, William, Hannah and Casey were attentive, kind and made us feel welcome. This is a must-eat location if you are looking for Nashville’s best sushi! Did I mention their sushi happy hour?!

Beginning of our visit was a bit rough – there wasn’t a big enough waiting area so we were waiting at the door with several other parties on a rainy day. Once we were seated, we had to wait 10 to 15 minutes before we were greeted. The food was okay (more onions in my noodles than I like) and the staff were friendly. Overall, pretty average experience but I’m not likely to return to this particular spot.

Nice spot. The rolls are good size and tasted great. Rolls were all 25% off as they have a special on Tuesday and Thursday. Small outside patio seating. Easy to park at as they have their own parking out back. Didn’t take long to get our food. Great service.

Went there on a Thursday and took advantage of the happy hour prices. Will the server greeted me as soon as me and my family walked in.He recommended the honeystone roll which was the greatest taste I have ever experienced. The booth we sat in was clean and cute with the red light at the table. They checked on us every 10 mins and kept our glasses of water full. The sushi came out fast and accurate. We will for sure return and anyone new to the area should most definitely stop by. Thank you Samurai East!!!

Great place! But word of advice. When Two people are on a date. Just give the bill to the man. Especially if it’s a man and woman.

Sushi Rolls were amazing and had very generous serving sizes for Sushi Rolls. Flavors were phenomenal, fairly priced, and we had great service. Definitely the best sushi we have had in Nashville so far and will be going back soon!

We have eaten at Samurai a handful of times in the past 6 months and it’s always solid. The food is excellent – the sushi always tastes fresh and well-prepared, and don’t sleep on that kimchi pancake! – and the servers are all so kind. It’s easy to walk in and get a table even on a Saturday night, which is part of the self-serving motivation behind this review. I’d like to see my favorite sushi joint on the East Side stick around! Tell your friends (just not too many of them) that Samurai is the jam 🙂
