I just popped in cause it was open and happy I gave it a shot. The food was made on the spot I don’t think I waited longer than 4 minutes for each plate. The shrimp shumai was so fresh and not fried or too breaded. The lunch sushi deal came with soup and 2 rolls for $11! Also fried the avocado salad which was njce and light. 5/5 and the workers were all pleasant and happy to serve. Will definitely visit once I’m back in Boston

The ingredients are very fresh, the mango sushi tastes so good and is unforgettable. The street view is very beautiful at night!

Friendly, polite service and great food, quickly prepared. I’ve had the scallion pancakes (comes with a soy sauce type of sauce), spring rolls (comes with a kind of sweet and sour sauce), and the avocado smoothie. I’d definitely recommended all of them.

Great food, and nice owner. They moved inside fire & Ice, but still highly recommend this place for sushi.

Nice clean restaurant where you can place your order for takeout online for an easy pickup and beat the lunch rush. I almost always get the Chicken Katsu when I go here for lunch – it always hits the spot. Food is very high quality and you can see the cooks making it behind the cashier.

I had an eel teriyaki and a coconut boba. The eel tasted too strong with the sauces and the rice helped balance it out plus the broccoli but they didn’t give out iced waters in the beginning, so I was just relying on mostly the rice to adjust to the eel which was really good but in another perspective, they didn’t completely remove all the bones and scales cause I still had some in my mouth, and ultimately just ate through it. The coconut boba was unique. I was expecting much more of a ice creamy coconut milk drink but it was more like every smooth coconut juice that was very nutty. The boba was pretty plain as well and also, expected it to be at least a bit sweetened but unfortunately, it was not that. The space was really nice to dine in but definitely needs to be cleaned more, specifically the dark brown tables than the glossy light brown ones. One of the tables was also pretty wobbly as well. The head staff I think was very friendly and caring. He was able to make us feel welcome and accommodate to our needs well and new who ordered what specifically. Definitely would go again for him at least but order something else and try to get seats at the better tables.

Small and simple Japanese restaurant that is family owned and managed. Service is excellent: friendly, fast, and accurate. I live nearby and order from this place all the time. My takeout orders are always ready when I arrive. Prices are low – well below any fancy sushi restaurant. Excellent sushi and low prices – what more could you want?

Samurai Express is special for me because of the great hospitality I received from the business owner himself Mr. Andy. Back in 2017, the first time I entered the restaurant looking for some vegetarian options. I had sore throat that day & the business owner Mr. Andy suggested me to have a soup that would make my soar throat feel better. Upon my request he agreed to make me a vegetarian soup but, he made it in such a special way with ginger & garlic and that soup really made me feel much better! Thank You Mr. Andy for great hospitality!

I primarily ordered take out from here but have also been here for lunch. Their bento-box is quite good, especially the unagi one. Call ahead if ordering takeout. During lunch they have a two-roll special that’s reasonably priced. I wouldn’t say they make great sushi, but it’s hard to find better for the price and location. One thing I dislike is that when you dine-in, you’ll end up smelling like food.

Went here for my lunch break and ended up waiting over 20 minutes for a single sushi roll and miso soup that I never got. When I arrived there was one person sitting at a table that had already finished their meal so I was expecting to get my food pretty quickly. After I ordered about 20 customers came in to sit, most of them receiving their food in minutes including multiple people having miso soup and sushi rolls brought to them, including a table of 7 all receiving their food.
