Been to this location and the one in Belmont several times. Normally it is always great. This past Sunday, not so much. Service was awful, and it was not extremely crowded in there (we went at like 2 in the afternoon). We were missing a few items, and had to ask repeatedly for them. The salmon BLT was initially burnt, but the kitchen did make that right. Just not the vibe we usually experience. In the future, will more than likely go to the one in Belmont.

First time here today. 4 different meals purchased and an appetizer. All were excellent. Onion rings were yummy and the sweet potato fries! Our waitress was very nice. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in to Sammy’s for lunch today. Our first time at the Dallas location. Food and service was very good. We had the pickle spear appetizer, my wife had the Southwestern Eggrolls and I had the Arroz Con Pollo. The chips were a little over-cooked, but still good. Nice experience for first visit.

We’ve go here quite a bit and do take out and dine in but this last visit was enought to make us not want to come back. We had already finished our meal and was waiting on the check when an older man came up and just stood at our table and didn’t say anything. At first I thought this man was lost but he then opened his mouth and look at my husband and said I don’t want to talk to you I want to talk to them (them being me and my kid and sis in-law) so we were all in shock from his immediate rudeness and waited for what he had to say. He pulled out his phone and showed us pictures of Harry Potter and told my husband he knew he wouldn’t know what that was. Who doesn’t know Harry Potter!! Anyways we werent rude and just went along with it but the whole encounter ruined the whole experience and everyone felt extremely uncomfortable after that. After doing some research I figured out he is the owner of the restaurant. I’m not sure if he speaks to everyone like that or has early stages of memory issues but it was so uncalled for and not a good look for the whole restaurant.

I was very impressed by Preston, the bartender. He was personable and very knowledgeable about the menu. He gave me solid recommendations, and didn’t flinch when I asked for a change to my drink order. Great visit.

My boyfriend did take out and had to send the food back because it was so many items missing in our meal. I had 2 orders of mozzarella sticks and I can tell you that I was highly disappointed and upset because they did not give me the same amount in either container one was six and the other was 4 and also most of them didn’t even have cheese in them I was eating nothing but breading. Knowing that I am a big fan of cheese sticks I will NOT be coming back to this place EVER AGAIN!!!

The service is great …buuuttttt…. Here’s my reason for 3 stars. We love Sammy‘s in Belmont and go there quite often. Lately I’ve had to spend some time in Dallas, so I have gone to that location, Sammy‘s, for dinner twice. The first time my three–year-old‘s cheeseburger was so raw I had to send it back, and now, this is their example of a medium well burger. It was takeout for my son so I couldn’t take it back and just happened to look at it now that he’s halfway through. I think there needs to be a discussion on meat temps.
