I stopped in for a quick bite and the Salty Dog did not dissapoint! Easily located right on the highway in Holden Beach it’s a hidden gem. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was spectacular! I had the hot lobster roll with butter and it was a real pleaser! The lobster was fresh, warm, and tender and the butter really complimented it well. That was it and all it needed to be, plain and simple perfection! It came with a side of chips but I ate those with a bit of the dill shrimp pasta. Overall this was a real treat that I’ll be sure to stop at again if I’m in the area.

What a gem we accidentally discovered on our first thrifting and beach adventure with our pup! There’s the cafe/deli with delicious sandwiches (Boars head) and gluten free bagels and then the cute bar, both of which are dog friendly and then there is the awesome grassy fenced area with comfy Adirondack chairs and picnic tables and a little dog agility course. They even have raised dog beds and some games outside of the dog park area. Highly recommend as a great place to enjoy with or without your dog!

Got the Connecticut style last year and the Maine style lobster roll this year both are great the cold one has a dill sauce with peppercorn in it, hope to be back again:) also I recommend the dill shrimp salad!

Great food (best hamburger I have eaten), great drinks, wonderful atmosphere and great place to take your dogs if you choose. Check them out; lots of activities happening, music, etc. You will not be disappointed.

This is always a must visit for us! My husband had been coming here for years and it is just as good as the day they opened. My husband always goes for the Italian sub and he said it was tasty. I tried the Connecticut lobster roll (when at the beach, seafood is a must!). The lobster was super fresh and sweet and the butter is always a wonderful addition to any lobster.
Didn’t go for dessert this time but the cinnamon roll looks crazy good and I would dive head first into the key lime pie if I saved room. Oh well, next time 🙂

Got the make it your way burger and costal club sub and it was a 10 out of 10. Also got my fur baby some frozen treats and based off how fast he ate them and then watched me through the window as I was waiting on my food Im going to say he gave them a 2 paw rating. He even got another bowl full for the weekend. Thank you lady’s so much for a great experience from the time I walked in till the time I left.
