The service here was really slow. I don’t know if it was the after church crowd or the normal Sunday crowd, but it did take a long time for our food to come out. I do have to say it was worth waiting for, but the next time I visit, I’ll definitely have to consider the day and time. The Pickles & Peppers were my appetizer, which were pretty good. For my entre, I ordered the Atlantic Salmon, mashed potatoes, and flash-fried green beans, which were excellent. I’ll probably be back on a different day of the week to see if the service improves.

My daughter and I had lunch today, July 22, 2023 at the Saltgrass Steak House in Cedar Hill and we had a horrible experience! My daughter ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was RAW throughout the chicken. We told the manager (lady), she took the food and told the cooks to redo it. The second chicken fried chicken was also RAW! This is unacceptable. I spoke with a different manager (man) and he gave excuses how the food is timed. I told him that this is no excuse and he needs to talk to his cooks and revise the time to fully cook their chicken! My daughter ate a couple bites of the second chicken fried chicken when she noticed the meat was raw. I’m praying that she does not get food poisoning. Both managers were very non-chalant about this matter. We will NEVER go back to this restaurant. The chicken fried steak I ordered was hard and not seasoned well. We ordered two Caesar salads that were dry and lacking enough dressing. There were also a lot of flies flying all around our food and all over the restaurant! That’s crazy!!! We will be contacting the corporate office asap.

It is always such a great place to eat and good drinks. BUT THIS CARROT CAKE… BABY!!! Thank you to the manager for the recommendation! Even my husband, who is not a big fan of cake, was ranting about how delicious and not super sweet it was. But the best part is this lovely smooth icing that is not sugary. It’s a perfect slice!

I haven’t been to a location in about 10 years. This was the 1st time that I tried the pork chop. It was really good. This was the first time anybody ever asked me about the doneness for a pork chop. I got it medium well. The doneness is always 165 for pork. Anyways, it was a good experience.

Saltgrass is one of my favorite steakhouses so there is always something I’m going to enjoy eating here. It did take us a while to be seated and when we did get seated, we waited at least 10 minutes before someone came to our table to take our drink order. Our server was totally awesome when she came to the table. Our drinks and appetizers were AWESOME!! Our steaks were not so great. We ordered medium well steals and definitely got medium rare. My Ribeye steak came back PERFECT but my sons T-bone was still dang near raw to the bone. Our server Jamie was super apologetic and had her manager take care of it. We’ll definitely return to this location because their cheese fries are to die for!

Y’all, we found a bug in my wife’s salmon. Three months ago we got take out. We get it home and there’s an entire insect in the container with my wife’s salmon for her salad. It looked like it was marinated and everything. It’s been 3 months and we lost touch with corporate. I don’t even care about compensation. I just want y’all to make an informed decision about where y’all eat.

After many great experiences at this restaurant, I hate to write a bad review but I have consistently been disappointed with Saltgrass lately. I ordered delivery through their website. Although they use Doordash as their provider, Saltgrass is ultimately responsible for their poor performance. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to have my meal delivered. It was cold and missing several items. The items that I did get were not prepared as requested. The 30% discount that they provided for the horrible experience was inadequate. I hope they will improve their service and bring it back to what it use to be.

We were there for my daughter’s 17th birthday and I was not happy with the service at all. 1st it took forever to be seated for our reservation. Our waiter was not attentive to our needs like she was other guests. I asked for a medium Steak and it was almost well done. My side of shrimp wrong borderline overcooked. My wife’s chicken breast was super dry. The ceasar salad looked a day old. This was my 1st time here and I was not impressed and will not be back to this location.

We had a party of 20 today. Our waiter, Doug did an amazing job catering to our food desires. He was extremely patient, professional, and efficient. Everyone got everything they requested. We are so grateful for how well the restaurant accommodated our family as we celebrated my aunt’s 66th birthday! THANK YOU SALTGRASS AND DOUG! The food was scrumptious!!

Ordered food for a 7:30 pickup time. Arrive at 7:30 and informed by to go staff to return in 20 min, my order is not ready. I return at requested time and retrieve my food. I arrive home to find my entree (pork chop) completely raw on the inside. I immediately contacted management explaining I wanted them to remake my entree and I am on my way to pick it up. Instead of accommodating my request I then waited another 25 min to receive ONE entree. I received a “sorry about that” on the way out the door. Awful service.
