These pies are levels above any other pizzeria in the New River Valley. Get the full NY slice experience. Order an 18″ pie, well done. Bigger slices taste better. It’s been studied. 18″ taste better than a 14″, same ingredients, bake time, recipe, 100% same except size. Bigger slices taste better. Plus you want to ensure you have a few slices for reheating in your oven at home. Sal’s slice reheated in your oven at home gives you a second incredible food experience. NY Style is designed to be reheated. Sal’s Jr is an excellent example of authentic NY style. I cant believe there isn’t a line out the door with people waiting on pizza. The pies truly blow the competition away.

Got a steak and cheese sub to go which was excellent but when we dined in I got salad which was old and slimy and fettuccine which was really good but they forgot my bread. Had to ask twice for it and then they bring me out this large hunk of stale bread. It was so hard I could have broke a window with it. Forgot our ranch. Had to ask for it twice. Will try once more. Hope it’s better. It was alil warm in the restaurant too. Could have used alil more AC

My brother and I just stopped here after a round of golf. Both of our meals were really good: Chicken Franchise and Chicken Piccata. The wait staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. I definitely would recommend Sal’s Jr.

The food was great, the wings/ slice of pizza were amazing and my partner said the Alfredo pasta was better than olive gardens, but the service was terrible. My waitress barely checked up on us and when I had received my food with my girlfriend, 25 minutes later was given a box and check without asking for it. Felt as if we were being pushed to leave( and it wasn’t even busy, 5 tables were seated). We were not rude or obnoxious and was respectful to our waitress. So overall, food was 4/5, yet service was 1/5.

I usually order on DoorDash, the food comes piping hot and hits the spot every time. When I have come to pick up, staff is quick to retrieve the order and make sure I have everything I need. The pasta Sofia is a personal favorite!

Went in and placed an order for the cheese steak sub and some fries after work to go. The girl at the counter was very helpful and polite. I was told it would take about 10 minutes and it only took around 6 minutes to get my food and head out the door. The food was hot and delicious. There’s a lot of competition in the area for the cheese steak sub and while it wasn’t my favorite it did not disappoint. Will be back!

Got a togo order calzone …. excellent and this may sound weird but some places don’t do ricotta cheese which is what makes it a calzone. Awesome and get it all the time I’m down there.
