What a great find! Best home-style food we’ve had in a long time. Each dish is prepared to perfection. The portions are large, service excellent. From appetizers to desserts, I don’t think you can find better home style dishes. Prices are very reasonable. This is a return to time after time.

Loved it. Great stop on the run from Pitt to NY. Awesome service. Delicious food. Beautiful scenery. The home-baked bread and pretzel is to kill for. Another good one is steak hoagie. Ask for cocktail sauce instead of ketchup – nice touch! Oh, and kids friendly.

My husband and I were very happy with our lunch. This was our first visit to this charming restaurant. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger. He said it was delicious…bacon was the best he’s ever had. My grilled chicken came on buttered toasted bread. No bun? OMG! Fantastic! I never want a chicken sandwich on a roll ever again! Fresh cut fries were great!

Very nice place! Servings were definitely enough for two servings! Very nice waitress and accommodating. Just remember, at lunch time they do not offer baked or mashed potatoes. But the gravy and cheese fries are sooo good!!

We came in for our reservation at 6pm. We were sat down promptly. We then waited 30 minutes for service. We had to ask for it. The server came to our table and said “I didn’t realize I had a table.” We sat in a high traffic area and no one attended to us. Several tables after us were waited on, provided drinks, and entrees before we even had a drink order. To sum up our first hour here, we had water and bread for the table. After receiving our meal, it then took another 20 minutes to be asked if we wanted dessert, to which we responded we just wanted the check. It was a one hour and 45 minute experience I would not want to relive.

An extraordinary dining experience at Sally Pursell’s each and every time. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Be certain to try their homemade Chicken Pot Pie Soup (with their homemade noodles) if it’s available when you’re there.

Been coming here for many years. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and owner. Very nice and respectful to all customers and the food well, very generous portions (your won’t leave hungry). If I can figure out how to post a pic of my chopped sirloin dinner from new years Eve I will post it.
