We waited 15 minutes before we were seated, and then had to wait over an hour for our food to be delivered to our table. When we were seated, we noticed that the ledge above our table was covered with dust and the small dishes to set our chopsticks on were still covered with food from the last customers who sat there. But we both agreed that we can look past a little bit of grime if the food is worth it!
For over 20 minutes, I watched a plate of sushi sit at the counter waiting to be picked up by a waiter. I commented to my husband that, even if they are waiting for the rest of the order to be ready, due to the nature of the dish they should really be bringing it out right away. You can imagine my disappointment when, after watching that plate of sushi sit under lights for over 20 minutes, it was brought to our table as the dish I had ordered.
I ordered a Fried Eel roll, and I have never in my life seen a sushi roll as small as this before. Even gas station sushi offers larger portions. I also ordered a “Devil Roll” which was a fried salmon roll with spicy mayo and sriracha. The eel sushi tasted like nothing and was completely overpowered by the sauce they put on top of it before bringing it out.
My husband ordered a beef udon and a similar fried roll that wasn’t spicy. He said the roll tasted good, but wasn’t as filling as he had expected. The beef in the udon soup was very dry and overcooked, and the broth in the soup just tasted like a mix of soy sauce with water and little bit of sugar. The noodles were good! The vegetables had no distinct taste at all.
I had also ordered a glass of plum wine, which was served right away and was okay, but it is supposed to be served chilled and was served at room temperature. I tried to save half of it to enjoy with my food, but by the time I received my food it was quite warm and the taste had gone sour and much stronger.
With a tip included, our total came to almost $85 USD. It wasn’t the fault of our waiter, we could see that he was constantly checking on our order and was being pulled in many directions at once.
We are grateful for the new experience we shared together! However, we will never go back. There is another sushi restaurant much closer to our home where we can get significantly larger portions for the same price.

A half hour later we flagged down a guy that I think was supposed to be bussing tables but was just wandering back and forth with plenty of uncleared tables. He took our drink order which we never received.
Our waiter finally came over. He was busy with several tables and apologized and took our drink order again as well as our food order. After that, the food arrived pretty quickly and the sushi was good but not enough to make me want to go back after this bad experience.
The atmosphere is pretty dingy and rundown. Not appealing in the least.
