On 8/21/23, my family & I decided we wanted hibachi after my daughter just got released from the hospital. We went to Glen Burnie, Sakuras where we always go, they were closed due to power outage.. So, we decided to go out on a limb & try the Sakuras in Annapolis. After a 30 minute ride there, we arrive. Hostess was nice, she sat us as soon as my family walked in. My husband ordered him & I drinks. The server (long black hair, lots of make up, she never introduced herself) she was very adamant to only hand him out drinks and would not let me grab mine. Which was odd, considering we both are over the age of 40, so I know age had nothing to do with this. It took the cook maybe 30 minutes to come out and start preparing our food. There was only one other table in there while my family & I were in there. Cook was very sloppy with making our food. Was throwing rice everywhere. He made shrimp, everyone got their shrimp but me. I mentioned to him that I ordered shrimp & he proceeded to yell at me and tell me I did not. I told him the server must’ve messed up then, because every-time I go to sakuras I get shrimp. He yelled at me & told me I’m not allowed to get shrimp since he was done making it. Any DECENT, establishment would say “ma’am I am sorry about that, I am done making shrimp however we could make that in the back for you & it will be out shortly”. After the shrimp incident, I asked for medium steak & got well done beef jerky. Everyone at my table agreed they wanted extra egg in their fried rice… we all later got charged $1.50 for each egg that was put in the fried rice. The cook then proceeded to try and throw shrimp in my mouth, I told him I did not want it sense it was NOT apart of my order like he stated with my side of shrimp… he threw it at me any way and hit me in the eye with it… he laughed and said “you missed” i did not find that funny, he did though. My daughter had to hunt down our server since she wouldn’t even return to our table to fill our drinks. She placed a to go order with her & the server rolled her eyes and asked “what do you want” as if doing her job was such a struggle for her, the server went up to the hostess & sent the hostess back to her to ask how she would like her steak done just so she did not have to come back to our table. To top everything off, the server brought our checks out, we paid & never received my card back. I did not realize till we were home later on that night & I was getting notifications that my card had been charged at the liquor store & forever21…. WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Not only did I get publicly humiliated by the cook, poor serving experience & attitude the whole time. BUT MY CARD GOT STOLEN & WAS USED FOR THE SERVERS AFTER HOURS DRINKING & NEED FOR CLOTHING. Never eat here, do not put your money in these crooks pockets. Go to glen burnie sakuras if you want hibachi. They serve you more food for how much you pay as well & the staff is fabulous.

Had an awesome experience here. The menu is reasonably priced and you always get more food than you can eat. Menu is priced like a fast food restraunt but you get the full experience of having a Chef prepare your meal right in front of you while putting on a great interactive show. The food is spot on and made to order while you watch and includes soup, rice, and mixed vegetables in addition to your entree. For the price and entertainment you cant go wrong! Leaving with left overs and I am full. Highly recommended. The Staff here is extremely helpful and friendly.

Been coming here for 8-10 years…. I LOVED the hibachi food… they CHANGED the recipe on the Yum-Yum sauce & the ginger sauce & it was horrible, more watery on both, the Yum-yum didn’t have the pink color, texture nor the taste. What a disappointment….. Really changed the flavor of our meal so much that we will NOT be returning & I wanted to warn others before spending/wasting $30 + for food & drink…. I promise you…. It’s changed…. For the WORSE 7/23/22 boo hoo bummer, they’ve cut back so far it affected the quality of the food. Also it’s July, it’s like 80 degrees in here… (no exaggeration) this place usually is on the cooler side but everyone at our table sweat thru dinner! Don’t waste your time here, it’s not the goodness of the past! I read thru the reviews just now…. Found others who said FLAVORLESS… definitely true, everything changed, Good bye Sakura NEVER AGAIN

I am close friends with the people who run this establishment and we all know this woman under me is lying, not only did the server try her hardest to attend to this persons needs, and make sure her and her family had a wonderful experience, her credit card was never stolen, she left it at the restaurant and forever 21 isn’t open after the hours this restaurant closed, so it doesnt make any logical sense for this to happen, also the cook was having fun with you and trying to lighten your mood, but you acted like a very rude person and you were making everything difficult and a power struggle as you can tell by your tone of voice in your review, dont let these karens push you away from very fine dining, everyone here is supa coo

This was a fun meal for my birthday with family. Very expensive, but you’re paying for a chef at your table. I had lobster and scallops, the lobster was overcooked and rubbery, but the scallops were good. I wish I had ordered fried rice instead of white, because they cook it right there and it’s much more tasty. I thought there was plenty of food and I went home with leftovers. Service was fantastic, everyone was friendly and nice. I didn’t think the place was dirty as some other reviews mentioned. I solitude recommend.

I enjoyed the experience because it had good food and I had fun with the friends I came with. In comparison to other Japanese steak houses I’ve been too this restaurant charges about 10$ more per person and I don’t think the higher price is worth it.

Sushi was good but looks nothing like the pictures they show online. For example, the picture I posted is supposedly the yum yum roll…. Looks nothing like what’s in the picture. A little disappointed in that regard. Sushi was good though, just missing a lot of flavors. The second roll pictured is supposed to be the Dynamite roll, looks more like the volcano not what’s pictured. Just be aware, but overall decent.

They didn’t take our order right. No salt on the vegetables. We got our appetizer last. They forgot someone’s steak. Serves sucked. You make a comment and the chef gets irritated. I won’t be back. The last thing is they squeeze every one in the table. You can even move. But, the manager is rude and has an attitude so the staff can have be rude and have an attitude.
