Years ago, I’d have given this place a 5 and called it the best hibachi in Connecticut. It’s gone kind of downhill since then or maybe I just caught them on a bad night. Steak was over cooked, lobster was over cooked, vegetables were undercooked. The scallops were delicious and they really need to get bigger glasses for their water and soda. The sushi was really good, I highly recommend the firecracker special one. The fried chicken was ok but the mustard that comes with it is more onion than mustard. Then we ended the meal with the “famous” fried ice cream where somehow the fried part was colder than the ice cream. Don’t even know how that was possible.

This is the best Japanese steakhouse around, and very good sushi as well. Have been here many times. The food and service are consistently good. Their Shrimp Tempura are by far the best in the area, and really one of the best anywhere – cooked just right and a perfect, light batter. Our group had a mix of entrees and sushi, all very tasty. And in spite of being busy, the service was very good. All the staff their are quite friendly. Continues to be our go-to sushi/Japanese steakhouse restaurant in the Fairfield area.

Went yesterday with a party of 14 (kids included) 2 hibachi tables for our boys graduation lunch. Okay, we ate had fun then bill comes bill was about $600 something including gratuity. We told waiter divide into 3 cards and 1 cash. He says ok. When my husband receives the credit card notification it states $199. He told the other husbands check your receipts. One husband was charged $500 on his card and the other $199 also. I went to waiter and asked why that does not make sense. He said because one person paid cash it threw the system off and took off gratuity. So we got charged additional gratuity. I said that is not my problem this is the 2nd time this has happened to us in a large group setting and why I banned this place the first time. Gave it a 2nd chance and this happens again. Now I have to fight my credit card and call them back to adjust. Is not worth it.
