The sushi sounded good but was honestly disappointing. The actual fish pieces were tiny, just small bits of fish with avocado, lots of rice and tempura to make them look bigger in the photos. It was all outside presentation, no real flavor. It tasted like a soggy salmon bake, which was pretty gross. I also paid extra for cream cheese, and they didn’t even include it! I couldn’t finish it.
The cold sushi was actually warm when it arrived, and the tempura was just a greasy filler, do not order anything tempura from here. It honestly felt like they might be using old fish, then frying it to cover it up. Makes sense why it’s always a BOGO deal on Instacart and Uber Eats. I love sushi, but this place is definitely not it.
I only ordered fried rice w/ steak and my boyfriend ordered sushis. I love the fried rice but the meat was slightly chewy.
As I was waiting for a host to sit me, I noticed that they were pretty busy. Almost full house, but there were nonstop to go orders! I noticed that the service is a bit slow… since there were only 2 servers, and 1 of them is stuck doing to-go’s, and another was running and doing everything else. The servers are not showing any care on what their doing because they are caught up on trying to run around. It would be better for another person or a manager to table touch.
My orders were:
Tuna tataki – I really like this item. It went really well with the chili flakes and tobiko. I wish it was sliced thinner.
Volcano roll – tasty roll pretty big portion of imitation crab on top.
Teriyaki beef – it was cooked well done, and the sauce was very sticky. The taste was good, especially since I paired it up with regular steamed rice.
Miso soup was missing seaweed, tofu, and scallions… it literally didn’t have much of anything..
As i was coming to the end of my meal, I saw that they actually had 4 servers. Could be that the other two were on break, though even when they came, the service was still the same…. a bit disorganized.
