Food: This was really delicious for Minnesota. Lots of flavor in the pho strong basil. The Vietnamese coffee was amazing, but doesn’t need that much ice.
Price: I believe it was fair for the PHO about $13.95, but it is a huge bowl! The spring rolls should be $4-5. Coffee was $5.75
Service: maybe I don’t understand the culture but it too fast for me in the beginning like I felt a little rushed they just sit you down without saying hi. I did explain I can’t have pork and my friend can’t have seafood after she took her time to example and advised they could split the spring rolls to accommodate us both. After the food comes out they didn’t check up on us and I had to ask for to go boxes twice. It wasn’t too busy. Didn’t know we had to go to the register for the bill.
On the second visit we tried the vegetable chicken and the sesame chicken. Both were very good, but I preferred the vegetable chicken. There was a nice mix of veggies cooked perfectly, still with just the right amount of crunch. The meal came with an egg roll and a cream cheese wonton. The egg roll was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. It was crunchy and the filling was delicious. Make sure to try one. The wontons were also very tasty.
The service was very good and the food was served after a very short wait.
The prices are very reasonable.
There is an Asian market attached to the restaurant which has a very good vegetable selection.
We definitely are going to make this a regular stop!
Best Pho I’ve ever had and It comes out really hot too; your toppings, sprouts, Thai basil, jalepeños wont cool it down as fast. Broth is perfect and needs nothing. You like heat, hit it with the chilli oil and done!
Egg rolls and grilled pork Banh Mi were really good also!!
We ordered Cơm tấm bì sườn chả, mỳ bò kho, phở , bún bò Huế. Only the first two orders were tasty. Their Phở and Bun Bo Hue are just ok, not impressive. The waitress was very friendly.
Negatives: my husband and all of us went to the cashier to pay. The cashier was so busy, after We told her our table then she gave my husband a receipt with No itemized and a spot to put tip. My husband Had no idea that tip was automatically charged in the total of the payment so be put tips in the tip section. After He signed, the cashier handed to him a copy. From started to the end, there was one mentioned to us That the tip was automatically charged into our bill.
We walked away with the receipt and my husband still thinking why the total is $75 . We wondered if the tip was I voided into the total price and they didn’t tell us so we gave more tip?
I decided to check with the owner and she told us that they’re already mentioned that in the menus that 18% tip will be automatically charged into the bill for any table with 4 guests and up. We didn’t see that. The owner also mentioned that the cashier had already mentioned that to us and showed us the itemized while we are paying. ( we didn’t hear anything and didn’t see the itemIe). She went to her staff and came back to us said that the waitress is very sure that she did mentioned to us that the bill is already Included the tip. This is not honest.
We don’t mind to give them more tip but we expected them to be upfront . I believed that there is no law for the automatically charge for tip. Plus, they are not honest.
We husband is their customer for years. They should not do that to us. I told her to check her camera again to see if the cashier has showed the itemized to us or not but she refused to do that and said she will train her staff again.
Food is good, service is good except for the charge. No one want to pay for the hidden prices. And they need to be honest .
inside clean. They connected with a asian market u can shopping here too.
For truck drivers if you come and delivery here leave 15 min and get great food inside.
Rich Pho broth. Savory, aromatic with a well-balanced ratio of seasoning. Nothing over powering. If you’re in the Twin Cities, MN area, come here for your Pho and BBH fix. This is a top 5 Pho restaurant in MN, and I highly recommend their Pho and BBH. Price is on the higher side, but the quality of food makes up for it.
Would I eat here again? Yes. Broth is consistent good.
Eggrolls: 9/10. I love the extra work put into the wrapping and lots of meat.
Vietnamese fish sauce: 9/10
Springrolls: 9/10. Refreshing. Perfect balance of meat, noodles, and veges.
Springroll dipping sauce: 8.75/10
Dumpling: 7.5/10. Average, but the sauce was great.
Bun Bo Hue: 8.5/10. Very well balanced broth. Beefy and porky. Spice was just rite for customers, very herbal, lemongrass was on point.
