Their food is good that’s not the problem. It’s Their service they will literally give you whatever they have left and still charge you full price knowing that does not the full servant size and won’t give you no accommodations or anything for the lady always answer. The phone with an attitude are very aggressive other than that, pretty nice spot to go to for lunch just don’t go last minute

i’ve never left a google review but for this experience I have to.
i’ve been going here for yearssss and I just had the WORST experience and won’t be going back. I called to place and order which I was then told there was only one order of what I wanted and if I didn’t get there in 10 minutes it would be given away (is that not the purpose of calling ahead?) and before I could respond the lady told me “i’m busy bye” and hung up on me. upon entering the store lo and behold they have no white rice. and I can’t eat fried rice. which she then told me she hung up on me because she couldn’t hear me and it’d be another 30 minutes for white rice. as good as the food is they will never be getting my service again. they just lost a long time customer.

Stopped here for lunch at a classmate’s recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. The food is prepared fresh once ordered and doesn’t take long to be prepared. I had Chicken w/ Garlic Sauce over fried rice and loved how crunchy the veggies were.

Went there 25 years ago when I used to work downtown. I have been chasing the taste of their sesame chicken ever since, no one does it as good. The food always comes out piping hot, and the chicken is so crispy and flavorful. My absolute favorite for American Chinese

Saigon has been a downtown treasure for years. Which proves they continue to bring us good food. The hot & spicy chicken is the go to meal. There are other choices as well for all ranges of diets. Lunch time they keep the food fresh, hot and coming. Open kitchen so you can see it for yourself.

I’ve been eating here since they were in the Richardson food court when I worked downtown in the late 90s. I didn’t realize they had a new location and recently came back. The food is great. Today I ordered an item off the lunch menu which wasn’t available on the steam table and they made it fresh for me. I’m not gonna lie, it was definitely better. This is great food I would recommend to anybody. The egg roll was great today. I’m not sure why everybody is having problems with the cashier, she has always been polite to me without me being overly friendly, and I’ve been in the store when other people are there and I’ve never observed anything bad from her.

If you black, have your wallet or money in hand when u walk in the place. If you don’t show u have money and are about to buy something, you gone be treated with racism and stereotype from the lady at the register. Don’t take too long looking at the menu either, they’ll call security on you just for sitting down without having ordered. Real “hurry up and buy” vibes. That’s my first and last time stepping through those doors….

I’ve stopped at Saigon many times over the 20+ years I’ve worked in Hartford. It’s a serviceable Chinese restaurant for a downtown area, but there isn’t anything they serve that’s particularly good. The Lo Mien and fried rice combo options are fine and affordable, just don’t expect much from a flavor or quality standpoint.

Pretty decent Chinese American food with prices that are appropriate for the area. They offer lunch specials and seem to prepare things as they are ordered. They’ve managed to stay open during covid, so kudos to them. I go here about twice a month and they stay pretty consistent.

Worse Chinese food ever had. This is a picture of the spare ribs , taste like nothing. She was rude on , aside from that the food taste so bad. They only accept cash , no refunds. Please don’t go here
