I’ve had better Chinese food than this place, to be honest. The Thai soup was watery and lacked flavor. The sizzling beef was bland, and I think the chef is more focused on cooking than maintaining quality.
The chicken wonton and fried rice with chicken and lollipop were good, no complaints.
The Manchurian chicken was mediocre and I wouldn’t try it again.
As a South Asian franchise, they could have done better with the flavors. I’m sorry, but I won’t be coming back here.

Ordered mixed masala fried rice and this is what I got. No shrimp, no beef only 3 pieces of chicken. This place is Garbadge now. Highway Robbery and i put up a complain against them. Highly recommend away away from them and if you do order, check your food before leaving.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at Sagar Chinese in Hillside Ave. Yesterday, I visited the establishment and spent approximately $50, which is a significant amount for me as I am not currently employed and used my savings. I ordered the chicken vegetable Thai soup, but what I received was a mostly watery broth. Upon returning home and inspecting the contents, I felt frustrated and called the restaurant to inquire about the consistency of the soup. The staff member confirmed that they did offer Thai soup and stated that the recipe had not changed. When I pointed out the soup’s watery consistency, the staff member’s response was that they don’t put water in the soup, which seemed arrogant and rude. I expressed my disappointment, feeling that at the very least, an apology for the inconvenience would have been warranted. The staff member’s attitude was unhelpful, suggesting that I bring the soup back, without acknowledging any fault. One more thing there was no heat at that place and it was freezing. Given my 20-year patronage of this establishment, I am particularly disappointed in the service I received. Just a little video I am posting to show about the consistency of the soup.

I cannot recommend this place based on my recent order. The fried rice was nearly inedible because the grains were still hard and clearly not fresh. The seasoning across the dishes felt unauthentic and strange. I had to return the fried rice and had it replaced but still had the same taste. Even the Manchurian chicken was tasteless and nothing I expected! Overall, a very poor representation of Asian fusion. I’ll be not ordering from there again.

We got Iftar box from sagar Chinese and the Iftar box had 9-10 items and besides the date everything else was so bad and waste of money. The fried rice was just rice no flavor nothing just plain rice and the fried chicken, dumplings and other fried items just felt old and uncooked. They used to be really good but over the years their quality dropped along with their service. Every other time I’d probably understand but during Iftar after whole day of fasting and you get food like this honestly just disappointed and we had to throw the whole box away. I hope they bring improvement

Went to the Jamaica location today and it was a pretty good experience. They definitely need to upgrade their restaurant because it most certainly is dated. The food was pretty delicious, we got the Fried Rice, Noodles, General Tso’s Chicken, Thai Soup and Lollipop Chicken. The only thing I would like to suggest is why do we need to pay for Water? What happened to the days when we would be served old fashioned tap water? Can’t believe we have to pay for bottled water now, but I guess that’s the outcome of inflation.

Alhamdulillah, today is my first Ramadan of this year. I usually love having haleem at iftar, but for a long time I couldn’t find a haleem in NYC that truly satisfied me. Today I tried the mutton haleem from Sagar Chinese, and it was honestly amazing. It tasted perfect and I finally felt fully satisfied. Highly recommended!

We got an Iftar box from Sagar Chinese, and it came with around 9–10 items. Unfortunately, aside from the date, everything else was really
disappointing and felt like a waste of money. The fried rice had no flavor at all it tasted like plain white rice with nothing added. The fried chicken, dumplings, and other fried items seemed stale and undercooked. They used to be very good, but over the years their quality and service have clearly declined. Normally, I might overlook it, but after fasting all day for Iftar, receiving food like this was honestly upsetting. We ended up throwing the entire box away. I truly hope they improve their quality and service moving forward

This was the most atrocious place ever. I read the negative 1 star reviews they had and I still went there to give the benefit of the doubt but wow Ive never had such horrible experience. How can shrimp come out looking like overly fried fish? Cant put together words. The soup came out smelling like metal. It set the mood off from the start. The workers were eating with their hands, the table wasn’t clean and was not sanitary. Do yourself a favor and listen to the negative reviews. If you want food poisoning or vomit then this is the place to go!!
