Sagano Sushi & Hibachi Steakhouse in Flint was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, and the entire experience felt top-tier. The sushi was incredibly fresh, the hibachi was cooked perfectly, and every dish came out hot, delicious, and full of flavor.
What really made this place exceptional was the service and atmosphere. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome the entire time. The restaurant was clean, well-kept, and had a great energy that made the meal even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for amazing sushi, a fun hibachi experience, and genuinely excellent service, Sagano in Flint is a place I would highly recommend. Easily one of the best dining experiences around.

I’ve been here several times and it is always a treat to come to eat at Sagano. We usually come for lunch because it is less expensive compared to dinner. The quality of food is great and you get to sit in front of the chef as he cooks your food. Don’t be surprised when they sit you with strangers. They simply take the next 8 people in line and sit them at one of the grills. Try some of the yum-yum sauce if you like a little zip. They use a lot of soy sauce so you better like the taste of salt. All in all a great experience. I’ve never been to the sushi side of the restaurant but my daughter has and she says it is the best in Flint.

About a 10 minute wait for seating, waitress very attentive, took drink order, then dinner order, appetizers brought out fast with soup & salad…chef prepared everything in front of us and was very entertaining…large portions of food and very good…Would go back again.

Always an Amazing Experience! The prices have gone up too much!!! The cook makes the meal with personality!! Love the Sake but it’s up to $10.50 a piece??? Love this place but if prices go Higher they will start losing business that’s guaranteed!
The owners response to this review is unacceptable they’re trying to justify their hyper inflated costs and comparing it saying an omelet usually costs $10 but now it’s $15 which is a lie I don’t know where you’re eating it a five-star Michelin restaurant in Detroit? As for the sake prices they have not gone up You’ve just chose to raise the price! The one thing you do have in common with everybody else is the shrinkflation we’re paying more for less now to be a patron! Have been going here for 20 years and like I said it gets any worse me and all of my network of people will stop and go elsewhere. There’s plenty of staff to actually keep a bartender on duty as well while you wait for your table but you choose to not utilize an employee to take care of that That’s lost revenue completely crazy!

She has a picky appetite but enjoyed. NO, Devoured the soft shell crab. She enjoyed most of the dishes. I and my dad enjoyed our chuvke/steak and the rest of the dinner. Chefs kiss

A very fun place to enjoy a family birthday celebration. The chefs were excellent, and entertained while cooking with some humor. The food was very good. Many gluten free items to pick from. Reservations are encouraged with a bigger group or even a smaller one. It’s a very busy place. The service staff were very nice and helpful.

My husband accompanied me here for my birthday. Our server was so nice, sweet, and fantastic! The food was delicious but I’m glad that I specified how I wanted my salmon cooked (which was medium) because others at the table wanted their veggies cooked well done. Unfortunately my veggies were cooked well done as well, and so were my shrimp. Not everyone likes all of their food well done. But besides that, our experience was beautiful and we were sitting with a group of kind, and mature folks.

O. M. G. !!! First timers. Have been to other Hibachi grills, but nothing like Sagano’s! 1st off, make sure you have a reservation. From the time we were seated, it was first class. We had a party of 8 and 4 of the 8 were kids from 5-12. Our server did an awesome job taking our order and actually took extra time to make sure the kids orders were correct! She no more left the grill, and was back with drinks. Then soup and salad. Within minutes, our grill chef was wheeling up with our food to prepare. He spoke to each kne of us to confirm our food choice and prep, and talked to the kids also! From his start to finish, he was 100% professional, and fun. Cooked and prepared all of our meals to everyone’s liking. It’s a bit pricey, but so is McDonald’s anymore! Highly recommend Sagano’s in Flint MI for a special order not so special night out. Great food! Great service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sushi side, not hibachi. The food is always good, but the service keeps getting worse. Today it took 20 minutes from the time we were seated and the server asked what we wanted to drink to get 2 watery cokes. She took our order and looked at her watch when we asked for gyoza, soup, salad and 3 rolls. The last lunch seating is at 1:30 and we sat down at 1:25. Should have been plenty of time to get our order in and get our food otherwise.
