A great local and hidden gem. Every visit we are greeted with a friendly staff. They are attentive and friendly. The food has consistently been great and among the best burgers on the island. The outdoor seating overlooking the zoo is spectacular and is partially covered.

Absolutely delicious meal!! My wife had eaten here before and she was fairly insistent (men you know how that is) I give it a try. It was a Friday evening and barely any cars in the lot. Not impressed, I’m thinking. Well, she was right (men don’t tell her I said that). The service was fantastic and the entire meal was the best I’ve had in a very long time, maybe ever. I had the ribeye, green beans and gouda cheese mashed potatoes. She had the mahi mahi with sweet potatoe fries. We both finished EVERYTHING!!!

I cannot brag enough about how wonderful our experience here was! After poor planning on my part, (every restaurant in Gulf Shores had a 2+ hour wait) we came across this Gem! The decor and theme is great for the kiddos, live good music for us to relax to and the food was actually delicious. Our only regret was not finding this place sooner! Our whole trip we had been overpaying and waiting hours for subpar food at the popular spots in town. This place was a nice change of scenery. Not overly crowded and had free parking. This place is a must, we cannot wait to come back!

This is not only a great place to grab lunch while visiting the zoo, it’s also a nice spot for family dinners and date nights! They have a varied menu and last night they had a wonderful young lady singing and playing guitar. To start, we had the tangy goat cheese with fig jam and the creamy hummus with warm pita bread. I’ve never seen black hummus but it was great. I recommend both! For our entrées, we had the Ribeye with gouda mashed potatoes and green beans, and the Argentinian steak tacos – all so delicious! The tacos had pickled onions that were provided a great crunch. The service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere is casual and relaxing.

I didn’t even know this restaurant was at the zoo! I was just looking for places to eat on Google that we hadn’t visited and this one popped up. I’m glad we chose it! The atmosphere was awesome! Feels like you walked into a restaurant at the Serengeti! The staff were all super friendly and very helpful. I ordered the ribeye with green beans and mashed potatoes and it was amazing. The steak was cooked perfect and had a really good flavor. My wife had the grilled shrimp and they were excellent as well. We got there around 5pm on a Thursday and there was hardly anyone there, except for a few locals at the bar. It’s off the beaten path and well worth it! We definitely found us another restaurant to frequent when we come back!

Good food, great atmosphere, amazing menu, with Vegan & Vegetarian options, the wait staff is still a little green, with our waitress seemed a little new. It didn’t help the table behind waitress with phenomenal, with drink & menu suggestions.

I love the restaurant at the new Gulf Coast Zoo! First of all, the food is delicious. The atmosphere is so fun – like Disneyland but not quite as campy and you don’t have to fool with the long lines. They have a gorgeous, red separate room for large parties, and it’s so pretty that it makes me want to do just that…have a large party there! As you can see from the photos, there’s sort of a North African Safari theme, and some of the booths have tarps around them as well. Or for those of you who prefer open dining with a view, there’s plenty of that to be had, including a large bar with ceiling suspended shelves. It’s fun to look outside and watch people fly by on the zip line! And for when the weather is good, there’s plenty of covered outdoor seating. I recommend the Shrimp Tacos and German Reisling. They have a decent wine list. My friends had salads and a Margherita Pizza, and they all enjoyed theirs as well.
