This cake was a work of art. Every detail was beautifully designed, so creative and thoughtful, and it tasted just as amazing as it looked. You could really see the artistry that went into it. A true showstopper that made the whole celebration unforgettable. Everyone at the party commented on how unique it was! Huge thank you to the decorator that made this cake!!

I am always greeted with friendly & attentive service. Love the Death By Chocolate Cake. they have a large selection of freshly baked cookies, doughnuts and specialty treats.
The deli is really good too! love the pasta salad, bread and more!

Poor customer service, not consistent, employees not all knowledgeable of their job. I spoke with Gabe, Paula, Tara, and one other lady. Shirley was supposed to call me regarding my concern and it’s been over 48 hrs and I haven’t received a call. My next step will be the BBB. I even asked if the owner could contact me and I was informed he doesn’t talk to people we only see him once a month.
I will NEVER return or refer anyone to Rykes. I went to Costco and the customer service from Leigha, Erica, and Alyssa was great. I ordered a 10inch white round cake with vanilla cheesecake mousse filling. They don’t need a 4 day notice. Rykes stated they couldn’t process my order with a 3 day notice for a 8in round cake. Lol I ended up with a 10in with less of a notice and it was way cheaper. Rykes doesn’t have a policy stating it must be a 4 day notice and the staff was rude. Definitely lost my customer service!!!! I was informed the owner doesn’t talk to the customers and he only sees his staff once a month. Still waiting on Shirley to return my call.

The best cookies I’ve ever had in my life. It may look like every other cookie you have eaten. Simple cookie with frosting on top. But it is NOT like other cookies. I don’t know what kind of voodoo, black magic they use to make them but Damn they are so so good. Bravo

Rykes specifically my baker Cassie did an AMAZING job on my birthday cake! I wanted to pay homage to one of my favorite lions, Lorkulup, who was recently senselessly murdered by humans, and provided a picture of him. I can’t stop raving about it. I’ve never done this but wanted to do it for my 40th. The cake is vanilla with Bavarian cream inside. It’s so moist and yummy. The knife just glides right through it. I definitely recommend this place.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, because I have been a lifelong Rykes fan. I have a 6 year old in tears over a birthday cake. I told the person on the phone that my son was having a Minecraft theme party. This was the cake they gave me. How is this cake supposed to be a Minecraft style decoration?!?!? Polka dots!?!? I’m currently trying to save this cake so he has what he wanted…I’m so disappointed and unhappy. I spent $36 on something that I didn’t even ask for!

Ryke’s does a great job! Their cakes have been our #1 choice for 10+ years. We love their buttercream frosting and bavarian filling. The vanilla and marble cake batter they use is soft and delicious. Their employees have always been helpful and friendly. They keep a good selection of cakes already made up they can write on for you if you’re in a pinch and can’t custom order ahead of time.

I accidentally ordered my cake at the Grand Rapids location rather than Muskegon on Terrace Street. When I arrived at the bakery, they did not have my order. When we realized my mistake, Luke and Jackie made it happen! I walked out of the store with a beautiful personalized cake!! They saved the day!! Thank you!
