Having heard good things, we gave Rustic a try 2 days after they officially opened. Generally good food, but mixed reviews. The tacos were very tasty, and appropriately sized. $7 a piece and 2 would make a meal. Adding a side salad would be a good addition. Drinks were overpriced – $4 for a single, non refillable bottle. The liquor license had just come in, but they ran out of margaritas at 630pm. The menu was small, but that will change once they get rolling. Not a lot of vegetarian options. Service was ok, albeit slow. Large open room and a patio. Great decorations, and they did a great job renovating the old Landing Bar . They do not claim to be authentic Mexican, and aren’t. Nevertheless, the tacos had great flavor and were very delicious. Give them a try.

I stopped here last night, and I’m sure glad I did! These are the best tacos you’ll find in the 585. I ordered the Mango Chicken Taco and the Posh Trash Taco. My girl ordered the Whiskey Barrel BBQ Taco and the Craft Cheeseburger Taco. All of them were great!

I LOVE Rustic Taco! My favorites are the pulled pork and the shrimp taco. The people I work with also love the cheeseburger taco. Carrie, the owner is awesome! She is friendly, accommodating and makes sure her customers get great customer service. Whenever I have called an order in, the person on the phone is pleasant, the service is fast and never a mistake on a to go order. Just talking about it makes me want a Rustic Taco!

I absolutely loved going to this place in their original location and went fairly often. I’ve tried twice to visit their new location in Fairport, which has unfortunately been difficult. The first time I showed up on a Sunday (according to Google they were open) to find out that they were closed on Sundays. I understand not being open every day, but it was WEEKS before their online hours were corrected. The second time I showed up around 6:30 on a Tuesday night. They were busy, especially for a Tuesday, but my wife and I waited 5-10 minutes for the hostess to even acknowledge us despite the fact that we were the only ones at the door. She said it would be 20 minutes or so before a table was ready, so we left our phone number and took a walk along the canal. We didn’t get a call back until over an hour later, at which point the restaurant was about to close anyway and we had decided to eat somewhere else. I can’t fault them for being busy, but the service at their new location leaves something to be desired. Even a simple “sorry for the wait” would go a long way. I’d try ordering takeout, but their online ordering is also down at the moment.

Small fun lunch spot off lake ave near the water. They have a wide variety of specialty tacos and the ones we tried were top notch. The chicken on the triple B was cooked to perfection. All the sauces are made in house. It’s clear the chips and salsa are as well as they are excellent. Salsa is very fresh and the chips have the perfect level of salt. We were not a fan of the appetizer it just didn’t have the same flavor level of everything else. Will definitely return!

Went with 2 friends to get dinner together. Was sat immediately but was left alone for over 20 mins before someone came up to take our drinks order. By that time we already knew what we wanted to order so we placed that at the same time. Then saw our server walk by a few times before bringing out our food before the drinks. (it was just pepsi nothing fancy) Asked her for the drinks and she got them immediately. Could see the owners sitting at the end of the bar directing everyone or just sitting on their phone but didn’t go up to a single table unless a server went up to them. The table across from us as well showed up 15 minutes after we did and got their drinks before we got ours and our food. The others in my party enjoyed the food, I got the basic chicken tacos and the meat had absolutely no flavoring. The servers were super nice but extremely under trained and did not seem confident in being servers. As a whole would probably not go again.

The server was nice, but the service was very slow. The salsa was good, but chips a bit greasy and unsalted. We ordered 5 tacos at our table, and all came out room temp or cold. We sent one cold one back and it did eventually come back hot. The pork taco did not taste good, and pork was dry. The chicken taco was very wet which made the soft shell soggy (yuck). It was too dark and warm inside, and the vases of flowers make it smell like a funeral home. I know they just opened, but they should have put away the candles they are unpacking before customers arrived. Unfortunately we won’t be back.
