The food was ok, there wasnt a big selection of food. The Mahi Mahi was fishy and the conch fritters were a little soggy but the coconut shrimp was good.

Nice location. You can tell the inside was repaired after the last hurricane, so I will give a pass that the repairs aren’t totally done.

Virtually the only spot on the island. Mostly frozen food, but I’ve had worse! Very convenient and the staff is so sweet

It was a really fun place. We arrived with a boating club of about 35 people. We sat in the large dining room. The food was above par except for the calamari. We asked if it was truly calamari and never got an answer. Nice gift shop and ice cream parlor. They are very strict and won’t let you see their beach however. Not good if you want to be a renter.

We had a group of 5. Everyone got something different for the main course and we also ordered several appetizers. All of the food was well prepared and served either hot/cold as it should be. Wait staff could have been a bit more attentive as we did have to flag her down several times for refills.

Up until about 3 years ago I loved coming to Rum Bay and taking the ferry/boat to the restaurant. Grrat memories. The food was always good and it was just a nice experience overall. This past trip was completely opposite. The servers appeared overworked and weren’t the friendliest. We had 6 people at our table and no-one was happy with their food. Fish and Chips were cold, salmon was dry, calamari was chewy and had zero taste. Manager did give us 25% off and said they just hired a new cook and apologized. We tried to politely tell her that he needs some serious training. We are not usually super critical and picky. Not sure we will go back unless I see a bunch of rave reviews again one day. Very disappointing.

We took the water taxi over to the Rum Bay restaurant. $6 per person round trip. We arrived in 15 mins or so and walked down the dock through the mangroves. The ride over and back was enjoyable. The restaurant was not crowded and we had a decent table for 6 people. Our waitress was great she took our order in no time and the food was also great My grouper sandwich was delicious as was my husband’s fish and chips. Cocktails were also very good. The only problem was we felt rushed. We had barely finished our meal and she was asking if we wanted dessert. Two people were still eating so we told her no and she quickly brought the checks. It wasn’t as if there was a wait for a table so not sure why she had to push us out so fast..perhaps we would’ve ordered more drinks and dessert but we were annoyed by this time so we checked out. The water taxi driver said the last ferry over to the main land is 745pm. You can call the restaurant and make a water taxi reservation, definitely recommended.

This place is a hidden gem! Take a short ferry ride out to the island, and after a very short walk, you’ll reach the restaurant. We took our family there for a dinner and order lobster, shrimp, tuna steak. Everything was absolutely fantastic and our service added to the awesome experience. Beautiful views from part of the dinning rooms. This was a great place to visit to have drinks, dinner, and great views. We can’t wait to go back.

We have been coming to this place for many years and we have always loved it. In fact, whenever we have family and friends come down, we make a point to take them to Rum Bay. However, this time was different. The food was not to the level we expected. I had the shrimp tacos and they were nothing special. Just some dry shrimp thrown into a tortilla with bagged shredded cabbage and jarred salsa. Jeff’s meal was the fish special and it was just ok. Our appetizer was the seared tuna and it was dry and tasted very old and was about half of the normal serving. It used to be my favorite but now I wouldn’t touch it again. To say that I’m disappointed would be an understatement. The love is nowhere to be found in the food and what used to be a “must” for family and friends has turned into a “not worth the trip”.
