Wow, Wow & Wow….. Exceptional….. Oh what a night! We were taken to dinner here with local friends and had a wonderful evening full of great food, music, dancing and lots of laughs. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. A hint of romance but it also feels like a “southern home”. The patrons in the restaurant become family by the end of the evening! The music was wonderful, so very happy and alive! The food….. outstanding. The cornbread was the best I have ever eaten. If you have a chance, make Ruby Lee’s a priority…. you will LOVE it!! Thank you!!!

From the starters She crab soup & shrimp & okra gumbo too the Fried Pork Chop and Baby Back ribs(entrees) absolutely delicious! Service was at the highest of standards and the music was very enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back.

The place was a low-key, in-the-cut, really good soul food spot. I got shrimp and grits with gravy on them, and that was the bomb! Seasoning and flavor in every bite without it being so overwhelming. My girlfriend got the fried chicken, yams, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. The fried chicken was delicious, and the yams were amazingly good! Really sweet! The collard greens were a little mushy, but suitable. The Mac and cheese could have been better. It tasted like regular basic baked Mac and cheese. But it did not have the melted texture of really good baked Mac and cheese. I also had their sweet potato pecan pie. It was terrific and well worth it if you have a small space for sweets after you’ve eaten. The place also has people come in and play live music.

We completely enjoyed our experience at Ruby Lee’s. There was one point during dinner, where my husband said to the server when he checked in us: Everything is great! There’s just one problem…im concerned that you have somebody’s grandma chained to the floor cooking this food bc only a grandma could cook like this! The server laughed and told the chef (who was neither chained to the floor or a grandma) and he came out to meet and laugh with us. His mom was the original owner and he is the kindest. The ambiance of this place (music, layout, decor…the artwork is amazing). We would definitely go again & do highly recommend.

This the best hidden Gem on the island. My wife and I went last week on a Monday and it was packed like it was a Friday night. The live music was great (sax player that night). The service was 5 star treatment and the food was even better, if that is possible. I had been to Hilton Head before and is kicking myself for not finding this place sooner. The owner is there to greet and also serve as if he knew everyone in there. This restaurant is the best I’ve ever had and you will agree when you go. Make sure you make a reservation.

Outstanding establishment. The atmosphere, food, drinks, music, and customer service were the BEST. Everyone in my party of 6 and everyone else in the locations were dancing, singing, enjoying the sounds, and fellow guests. This was the highlight of our weekend trip and birthday celebrations. Hey listen and listen to me very well. THE PRICES AT “THIS” restaurant is amazing. THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD IS AMAZING. THE SERVICES PROVIDED AT THIS RESTAURANT IS AMAZING.THE ATMOSPHERE AT THIS RESTAURANT IS AMAZING. ITS VERY CLEAN PLACE. This is the first time that That I have been to the restaurant due to my military obligation but my family was able to give support. I do not have any dog in this fight and I do not benefit of giving a fake reviews. If the food and service wasn’t good I don’t have no problems of giving this place a .5 , if that was it the case. I was station close to or in the major cities in the US in which I could tell you all that the price and quality of the food succeeds majority of the restaurants in these major cities. If you wanna know the truth about this restaurant please read this review. I DO NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM WRITING THIS REVIEW. I AM SPEAKING THE FLAT OUT TRUTH.
