We stopped into Ruby Garden for the first time for lunch today! We came in a little after opening and there were no other customers. We ordered at the counter and found a place to sit. The restaurant is a little sparse and could definitely use a little more decor on the walls! They have TVs and the rest is empty, blank walls. The high ceilings are nice but just make it feel more empty! A homey touch could go a long way. The food came quick and everything tasted good. Our server was very polite and asked us multiple times if we needed anything, which is not typical for a seat-yourself place. It was really nice that a water bottle comes free with purchase, where other places may have an upcharge for a bottle. A spider came down from the ceiling and was hanging right above our food, but the server was nice enough to catch it! As far as the Chinese cuisine goes, it was good! We may try Vietnamese next time!

I went here on a whelm and so glad I did . My daughter had the orange chicken and I had the Mongolian beef both were amazing. The sauce for beef was savory and chicken was spicy but sweet. The broth for the wonton soup was refreshing I couldn’t stop drinking it. I will be back to try other dishes I loved this place. The staff are sweet and attentive .

Absolutely delicious! I had the lemongrass shrimp-excellent flavor, with the shrimp cooked to perfection. My dining partner really enjoyed the shrimp fried rice. Only a few people were dining in, but the staff was very busy with to go orders the entire time. I’m looking forward to trying other menu items.

UPDATE to my November review. We went back to Ruby Garden in Georgetown on Thursday for lunch. This is now our go-to restaurant to get Chinese food. We had the same excellent experience that we had the first time. And the husband-and-wife duo that work the front are very friendly and helpful.
We got the Crab Rangoon again this time and we both really liked it (which is why we got it again!). This time we tried the General Tso Chicken and the Kung Pao Beef. Both are very good. And my wife had to get the Fortune Lomein again because she enjoyed it so much the first time. She was not disappointed.
I’ve included more pictures with this update. I’ll let you judge for yourself, but I think the food looks as great as it tastes! I highly recommend that you try Ruby Garden!

Ruby Garden in Georgetown is in the Wolf Creek shopping center. There are a lot of places to eat in this shopping center, and from the outside, Ruby Garden doesn’t seem different from all the other strip mall places. It also seems that they changed their name recently from Fortune Garden to Ruby Garden. Nevertheless, it is worth stopping at Ruby Garden because the food is very good. There is no server, so you order your food at the counter, and they bring the food out to your table. The food came out fast and hot.
We started with Crab Rangoon which comes with eight pieces. Cooked perfectly with the right amount of filling, we loved this appetizer. I got the Orange Chicken lunch plate, which comes with choice of soup (I got Wonton Soup), egg roll, and rice. With a generous portion of chicken, this is an excellent lunch option and great value for your money. The sauce on the chicken was perfect with a nice little hint of spice. I loved it. My wife got the Fortune Lomein with combo meat option (chicken, beef, and shrimp). Wow! This is the way lomein should be cooked. The noodles were cooked and sauced to perfection. We both enjoyed the food and can’t wait to try other items on their menu.
Look, I know there are some mixed reviews but from our experience, this is the best Chinese food that we have found in the area. When we want Chinese food, we will go to Ruby Garden and I highly recommend that you do the same.

I’ve had the best shrimp in lobster sauce dish in a long time!!! The service was so friendly!! The restaurant is roomy and customers are not bumping into each other! The food was ready in 10 minutes (or less). I ordered the chicken wings along with the shrimp in lobster sauce……REALLY DELICIOUS, THE FOOD WAS PREPARED FRESHLY AND IT WAS STILL HOT WHEN I GOT HOME! I have a 20 minutes drive!!
I’ll definitely go back again!! Thank you for such good food and service!!
Best,
Felicia

The parking lot was pretty full but we still found a spot. The menu is pretty standard and we had no problem ordering the lunch portions of beef with garlic sauce and shrimp with garlic sauce, both with egg drop soup. The soup arrived within 3 minutes and was hot. The egg drop soup looked perfect and was flavorful. The entrees came out 2 minutes later looking and smelling great. The sauce was perfect, flavorful and just a bit spicy.
Overall 5⭐, we’ll be back!

I don’t won’t to leave negative review but this place needs Cleaning!! It’s always just the tables unclean the condiment bottles r yucky & floors r never clean!! The egg roll today was Old& cold as last visit. Crab Rangoon’s wasnt fresh r crunchy!! Sesame chicken was hot but just some pieces of chicken seemed dried & old tasting? We started out liking here but I like clean places & it’s anything but that. The egg drop soup is always Hot & good but egg rolls r never fresh & crunchy. Not sure if they make them r they r leftovers?Crab Rangoon is the same. Not freshly made
R hot? For the most Flavor is good but not sure about going back

A true secret gem. If you didnt know about this place, you might miss it.
Counter service to order and sit where you’d like.
Our soup was brought out as we were sitting. Super hot but amazing!
Our food came out so fast, I was a bit in shock. They were busy too with half the place filled around lunch time and a few walk ins for to go orders and doordashers too.
Food was spot on. The hubby and myself enjoyed their lunch special of egg roll, soup, rice, main dish and a drink for under 15$.
Shrimp were cooked perfectly. Ugh, I almost needed to be carried out i was so full.. Will return for sure.

As far as Phö this place is legit. I dine in and DO NOT order take out. I ordered the Chicken Phö. The broth has HUGE flavor! I add the purple Basil and Cilantro. EXCELLENT! Today I ordered the Wonton Soup. Also EXCELLENT flavor and lots of Wontons for a small cup of soup with Green Onions. I also love the spring rolls with the peanut sauce. Overall the Food is OUTSTANDING. Its kind of pricey for basic ingredients but, those ingredients are combined well and the broth made to perfection is well worth the price tag. Portions are good size.
I also eat at Phönatic by the IKEA and the Phönatic off Anderson Lane by the Walmart. Fast food-ish but good Phö nonetheless.
If you expect Chinese food from a Vietnamese restaurant, then that’s your problem. This place does Phö right!

I don’t know what has happened in the last month here but it’s going on the wrong direction. Once my favorite Asian place in town, now bottom of the barrel. I ordered thru Uber eats like many times before but this time all the food which is still priced the same has dwindled to half portions sent in small plastic containers and literally all the chicken was dry from the orange, sweet n sour and in the fortune fried rice. Simultaneously the orange chicken was dry and soggy and has no peppers or orange peal with it.
I will say the pork egg rolls are delicious tho and I could eat 10 of em. And prolly will soon.
Either way I won’t be trying this place again until the price comes way down to match the new portions and quality… I eats a buffet in round rock that’s better then this
