As I pulled in the parking lot there wasn’t very many cars , I thought to myself might as well give em a try its 50/50 chance could be good or really bad. When I got out of my car the smell u know what I’m talking about like it it me in the face awesome . I walked inside I ask for a menu, the lady behind the counter said we don’t have one. This big board behind me is where u order from. So I gazed at it for a minute or two. Then I ask her what’s the most popular she said all of it, which i got really excited then I order BBQ chicken with chickman dumplings and hase brown casserole. It was all awesome except the dumplings was little cold. Still tasted good oh . I seen the pies they had 3 different kinds all fresh homemade. I bought a slice of each an tried them. Now all three pies where awesome . I love homemade stuff . This place well worth it very good tried it Ladies an Gentlemen ud love it. As always Thanku for reading my review God bless

Great Pulled Pork!!
*I had been getting BBQ from another place, as I always had for over 30 years in Montgomery Co. Their BBQ is still the same, however they hired someone who has N0 people skills. He berated me in front of others customers, regarding sauce sizes, which cost additional even when purchasing a pound. I won’t bore you with much more.*
At Red Top:
Since I mainly get the pulled pork, that’s what I’ll give the review on:, it was cooked perfectly, always tender, the right amount of moisture. It was Not overcooked and Not swimming in its own Grease either. The Price is Less in comparison with a couple of other BBQ places. Red Top BBQ is Better than others I have tried locally. I guess next I’ll have to sample some Brisket and Ribs so I can report on that.

Good food for the price. Being from Louisiana I’m not use to flat cornbread. We got (2) 2 meat plates with 2 sides. The ribs , sausage and brisket were very good. The baked beans had a good flavor. The potato salad was ok. I like the fact that it is small place. Nothing fancy. Atmosphere has a country feel. People are very nice. If you are passing by I suggest stopping in to try the food.

Food was REALLY good!. Hot and seemed to be fresh. Had really good flavor. After my main order, I went back to the counter and ordered more side dishes just to sample them. Hubby even got more ribs to take home.
2 plates with 2 sides & a bread another 1/2 order ribs, 1/2 order sausage, and 1 side to take home w/ the delicious hot sauce (dipped my sausage in it, yummo! )…with 2 drinks cost around $35. Well worth it. We will go back.

Really good food! We came for dinner on a Friday, and they only had pork available. But, we came hungry and left full and satisfied. Mac and cheese was delicious, and I’ve never had corn bread like theirs, but it was oddly very tasty! They served a big portion of pork too (hidden under the big corn bread and I already ate some before picture was taken), and it was great. Can’t wait to try their other BBQ meats!

I really wish I could rate this place better but the food was nearly inedible. Out of 4 of us the 3 that got the brisket couldnt finish it. One had about 2 bites and couldnt finish, another had a few more than that and tapped out. I thought it was ok and then I hit something, no idea what it was, but it tasted unlike anything I’ve had and thats not in a good or interesting way. The coworker that had the pork made it all the way through without issue. The green beans were good, but 2 that got mac and cheese couldnt eat that as well. I have no idea what they did to the cornbread but it was like a bland, overcooked, thick cornbread pancake. Maybe thats just a local way of doing it but none of us were fans. The young lady up front was nice and the food came out pretty quick. I had both the regular sauce and hot, but neither were anything to rave about. So 3/3 brisket orders were just awful. I’m so sorry to post this but it was just that bad. Maybe it was an off day but whatever it was I tasted cant be forgiven. I personally wont be back. Sorry.
