Typical Rubio’s in the area. Food was fine, but nothing to write home about. Cashier was nice and explained the options (I just wanted one, singular taco). It was a fish taco and was probably $2-3. Friends got the plates which were $10 and they thought the cost performance was poor (e.g. too many beans, tacos are small-ish, etc.). I did their survey and got a free drink though. Beans were tasteless.

On 3/1/2022 around 8:30pm, I ordered Rubio’s for the first time on Grubhub, when I opened the bag of food and displayed it on the table, I noticed that a bite was taken out of a taco with teeth marks showing. This absolutely unsanitary, disgusting, and extremely unsafe. I know it wasn’t the grubhub driver because the bag was bagged neatly and it wasn’t messy, the food container that had the tacos was at the bottom of the bag and two burritos, salsas, Napkins, and utensils were stacked on top.

Beware of the “rewards” in the ap!!! I came into Rubio’s for the “$5.99” burrito special. NO where on the reward does it say that it was limited to one burrito! I even showed the ad to the cashier and they wouldn’t honor it – they would only give me that price for one burrito. My $30 to feed a family of 5 went to $46!! That’s a huge increase! I wouldn’t have come into the restaurant had I known the ad was just a “bait and switch”. I was upset about it and told the cashier I would be reaching out to mgmt or corporate and she said, “please do, we’ve had a lot of people that are upset”. Since they weren’t honoring the deal, I decided to change to 3 burritos and 2 chopped salads (one with strips and cheese on the side). When my food was ready I pointed out they had given me one salad missing both items, and the other missing cheese. The employee said, “ok”, took the bag, went and added some missing items to the bag and handed it back. When I got home I realized the order was still WRONG!! One salad still just had tortilla strips, the other had strips on the side (no cheese in sight). I would think that if you had a customer already upset that you would do your best to make sure their order was at least correct. This trip was a complete waste if time and money.

A young girl working this morning (not a manager) had a very unwelcoming attitude when helping a older senior woman in front of me when she was acquiring information about a taco plate. She then proceeded to have the same attitude with me when I asked her to take out the salsa on my burrito. I then went to the bathroom, surprisingly my food was ready in under five minutes, she stated my order was ready and pushed the bag toward me. Upon leaving I saw her take the food out to the older woman and rudely placed it on her table without stating anything in a very cold manner. I don’t mind being disrespected, but when I see seniors being treated poorly it is very infuriating.
