Amritsari Kulcha here is must try. We loved their Tandoori Champ and Samosa as well. The Badam milk has a hint of Desi Ghee or butter milk and it was amazing. Overall this place deserves better rating. Amazing and caring staff. They let sit beside a heater as it was cold aside and offered our daughter rice as the food was spicy for her. One of the best staff in the town. Well deserving.

I recently visited Royal Mango Shivaa for the second time, hoping to relive the excellent experience I had the first time. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t go quite as well.

The Tandoori Chicken arrived looking perfectly charred on the outside — but inside, it was still raw and pink. Definitely not what you want from a tandoor. I had to throw away the entire dish, which was disappointing and a bit concerning from a food safety standpoint.

On a positive note, the Biriyani was excellent — flavorful and cooked perfectly, just like I remembered. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, which made the experience a bit better.

I really hope they can be more careful with their cooking next time, because this place has real potential when the food is done right.

First and foremost, a couple of disclaimers before I dive in.

A buddy at work recommended this place, raving about how good the food was. After a long day and the start of the weekend, I figured—why not give it a try?

I called ahead and asked what the most popular dishes were. A kind lady on the phone suggested the butter chicken, which she said was her favorite. She also recommended the garlic naan—an easy yes from me. My coworker had vouched for the goat curry, so I added that too, along with the kulche chole for some variety.

Disclaimer #1 – I don’t often make or order Indian food. Not because I don’t like it, but because I’ve always found it to be quite heavy.
Disclaimer #2 – That assumption might just be due to my inexperience with Indian cuisine!

So, this review is based purely on one question: Does it taste good? The answer—IT DOES!

I’ve had butter chicken many times before, but this one was indulgent. Rich, flavorful, and layered beautifully. The goat curry was a first for me, and I really enjoyed the spice profile. I’m not a huge fan of bones in my meat, but I managed. The kulche chole was equally tasty and incredibly filling. And the garlic naan? Gone in seconds—the only thing stopping me from eating more was a full stomach.

I’ve read some reviews complaining about portion sizes not matching the prices. I strongly disagree. I barely made a dent in what I ordered, and for $60, I think it was great value given the quality and quantity. The location itself was clean, bright, and cheerful—small, with just a few tables, so it’s clear the focus is on takeout.

So, from one rookie Indian food enthusiast to all the seasoned (and curious) foodies out there—give this place a shot. I think you’ll be just as impressed as I was. And if you’re not, you can blame the wannabe Indian foodie who wrote this.

Good food to try in South West Calgary, spicy tangy, affordable and decent quantity. We went for dinner. Staff was nice, curtious and welcoming. Ample parking and place is stroller accessible. They have high chairs. Ambience was lively with lots of greenery. Branding was good, background music was nice giving a good vibe. We found indoor dining area to be a bit small for a busy evening. Washroom were available and clean.
Food was amazing not many choices on menu but boy every item we ordered was great. Its over all not expensive and quantity is also on par. Staff were attentive and made spice level according to our taste. Check out attached images and videos. Follow me for more detailed reviews. Our favorite dishes were paneer tika, chilli paneer, halwa, spring rolls, hot & sour souo. We will certainly recommemd this place and will definately visit again.

I love this place ! My experience here was divine. The food was outstanding, the service was great, the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. I found this hidden gem and wish I knew about it sooner ! This is A MUST TRY! The $2 samosa’s are so delicious and filling for anyone who wants a low cost appetizer as well.

Food quantity was not sufficient compared to price. We ordered afgani soya chaap, which doesn’t taste good and very little quantity. Fish pakoras were okay but still less quantity, only the item we like was chicken noodles but still quantity wise not enough.

Customer service was not good, the girl came to deliver the order and did not even pour water in the glasses, suddenly her phone rang and she just left from our table without serving anything.
In short, it was a total wastage of money. I will definitely not go there again and not even recommend any of my friends and families.

I’m super glad it’s opened close to home. Taste quite authentic, and very flavorful! We’ve seen lots of east indian families dining in here. Service was friendly!

I dined in today at their new location here in Legacy. I ordered veg thali and chole bhature. The food was exactly the same as their NE location in terms of great taste and quality. I am so glad that they opened a location here in the south since I stay close by. I would definitely be coming back. The restaurant itself is small and has limited seating and it seems like this location was opened as a take out place. Having said that, it is not congested as such and has 3 large booths for seating along with 1 or 2 small seating tables. I would be coming back!

I would have given them 5 stars, because the Amritsari Kulcha was yummy and authentic. But even after requesting mild curry for kids, we got spicy. Overall, the food is very hot and spicy. And this is coming from an Indian guy who has eaten in hundreds of Indian restaurants across the world. Only DoorDash for delivery option in the Legacy branch. Hopefully, they’ll add Uber Eats soon.

They are a highly unprofessional group of people. The staff inside is fantastic but the owner is a liar.

My car was parked outside their store when I was dining inside in October, someone (possibly their another customer) hit my car from the left side and did significant damage. I reported the incident to their team the very next day and was told that due to Diwali they are crazy busy but they will send me the video recording.

After multiple follow ups by me and my wife, last week they said that they only keep video recordings for up to 48 hours.

We were a fantastic customer for them across their both locations dine in plus multiple catering we have easily provided them more than $2,000 in business. Highly unprofessional and liar owner. Visit at your own risk and expect no help from them.
