First time coming here and the food was definitely good. They’re brand new and has a set up similar to Crazy Crab in Streamwood. You have your choices of oysters, clams, shrimp, lobster, and crab. What makes them similar to Crazy Crab is that it’s served in a plastic bag without a traditional plate. You can request paper plates in which you will get the type that they use for there hot dogs or sides. Speaking of hot dogs, they also serve alligator hot dogs. That alone will have me come back. Overall as mentioned the food is very good. I recommend there California oysters, alligator hot dogs, mussels, and clams. Definitely recommend this new jewel in Palatine.

Two years ago, I had try out a Cajun seafood restaurant in San Diego. I was very impressed. Their lemon pepper sauce was very delicious. It was sweet and spicy with rich taste that I like it very much. After we finished our seafood I even put that sauce into a bowl of steamed rice, it was the best match. Personally, that was the best seafood experience ever have. I try different similar places in Chicago After, but none of them can match it until I found here in Palatine. I have the snow Crab, crawfish and mussel with their Royal spice sauce. I was surprised that I finally found this excellent Cajun restaurant. The fresh seafood is paired with cajun sauce creating the magical in mouth, you can feel the garlic butter in the background and the Cajun spic fire up in the front. It just make me want more and more. On the other hand, their price is fair for the quality and friendly service. Highly recommended, will come back soon.

My wife and i have been waiting for this place to open since we saw the sign up months ago. We’ve been to other Cajun style seafood places but living in North Arlington Heights, there weren’t too many places close by. Having 2 kids under 3yo we do not have the luxury to sit at restaurants for more than an hour before stuff hits the fan. Needless to say, we were excited that this place finally opened and we were able to pick it up to go and eat at home with our kids.

My family loves seafood and we have been waiting to try this place. The seafood was excel lent. We tried the “superbowl” – essentially a mix of crab, shrimp, mussels, crayfish, potatoes, corn and sausage. Two out of three of us like spicy food, so they gave us the garlic sauce and hot sauce (not the most spicy, but second most) on the side. One bag was just right for two adults and one child. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I would give this five stars for the food, as that was fresh and really delicious. A couple of minor reasons for taking a star off. The food is served very casually with bibs and gloves. If you are not prepared to make a mess, this is not for you. We have no issue with that, but would have liked to have had maybe an empty bowl or plate to put the food in. To be fair, I’m sure they would have provided that if asked. The only other comment is that the beer selection is limited. It would be great if they could add one cider to the mix or perhaps offer a couple of basic wines for those who don’t like beer. That said, I appreciate that this is really meant to be a casual beer and seafood place and we’ll definitely go back.

Been waiting months to try this place! Took my,oldest daughter there last night for her bday dinner and we,fell in,love with this place. I had the,bucket with crab, lobster and shrimp with the Royal special flavor. It was the perfect amount of Cajun and butter. My 11 year old had a pound of snow crab legs and pretty much ate the whole thing. The concept is awesome, the staff are,super friendly and the food is incredible! Price wise, a little on the high end and I cant normally afford this but it was a special occasion, but the prices are,completely justified. If i could I would come here all the time, but definitely will be back as soon as I can!

Came on a Wednesday night 7:00 and had the weekday special. Everything was delicious and hot! Excellent service. My husband and I left stuffed. Owner was extremely nice, waiter was attentive. Weekday special is the way to go bang for your buck! I will definitely be back!

So excited that this place is close to where I live! I have been here 4 times and have tried many of the items! The garlic butter sauce is a delicious standard but I highly recommend trying the Royal Special! It has the perfect balance of cajun, garlic and spice. I have enjoyed so many items and cannot wait to go back to try more! My good friend and I specifically went to Royal Crab for our birthdays!

Let’s start from when i first entereted this place, I was very excited to try this place out.. However, I was very disappointed. The reviews on here were very good, but my expirence was not at all too great. The smell when I first walked in was very strong and smelt like sewage water unfortunately. I still decided to sit and eat. I got crab, shrimp, corn, potatoes and a sausage, for the price of 40$. The chefs in the back messed up my order 3 times. & the flavor of the Cajun seasoning was not very good at all, & also smelt like the sewage water when first entering. The manager was extremely nice and kind so that’s the reason I gave this restaurant two stars. However, I am so highly disappointed & will not be going back.
