This is the epitome of comfort food. We started with the crab dip, it had huge pieces of crab meat and a great creamy flavor. The rotisserie chicken was amazing (we got it with the Harissa sauce) and had super crispy skin and juicy flavor. The mac and cheese was killer and so were the brussel sprouts—super crispy. The duck gumbo had so many layers and such a great blend of ingredients in one bowl. This is a Baltimore gem

10 out of 10 on EVERTHING from entrance to exit. The hostess greeted us, table with name plate for my bday. The shrimp appetizer was FIYA, well prepared huge and paired nicely with the Brussels! The duck gumbo, Wow…the duck, fried crispy, saffron rice was cooked perfectly, the gumbo sauce, nice spice and surprisingly, fried okra was very nice. The chicken was the star or the show…moist, flavorful and cld not stop at just one bite Lastly, Tlthe caakkkeee…wow…IMPRESSED and MUST TRY!

The restaurant is located in the city and offers a Baltimore vibe. Inside are brick walls with family portraits. There is a bar and limited seating, so I recommend making a reservation. The restaurant got busy, so there is no time to sit and talk after you eat. I had my usual lemon drop; however, they couldn’t put sugar on the rim because the waitress said the bartender had run out. So, I ordered the charred shrimp, which were good. I had the half rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The food was tasty. I wasn’t offered dessert, so I’m not sure if they had any. I enjoyed myself while eating at Rooted Rotisserie. Note: There is an automatic 18% gratuity, and they do not accept cash.

This establishment is a vibe.. atmosphere and people 1000% pass the vibe test. The Brussel sprouts, wings, duck gumbo, lemonade… everything was amazing. Then the playlist almost had me go into the kitchen to ask the chef for the Link. Make your reservation yesterday and get down here. Every visit to Baltimore this will be one of my stops

Nice cozy location. Good service. Excellent dishes. The chef does an excellent job balancing flavors here from multiple ethnic sources; middle-eastern, creole, caribbean and southern american all come together on youe plate. Very satisfying dinner. Will be back to try a rotating seasonal menu.

Started with the Lib Wings — crispy on the outside with just the right amount of seasoning. The house-made ranch was a great addition, especially for balancing the heat from the spicy pepper sauce.
The rotisserie chicken was a standout: juicy, flavorful, and elevated by a rich chicken demi-glace that gave a comforting, home-cooked feel — something you rarely find in restaurants.
The Pepper Steak with Yellow Rice was underwhelming. While the peppers and onions were well-seasoned and flavorful, the rice lacked seasoning, and the steak was slightly dry and not as tender as expected.
The Trois Fromage Mac & Cheese was solid. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the breadcrumb topping added a nice texture. The cheese sauce wasn’t overpowering but flavorful enough to keep you coming back for more.
The Fried Brussels Sprouts were the star of the evening — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with shallots. Easily a 10/10 dish.

Tried their half rotisserie chicken with Demi glaze, Parmesan truffle fries and duck confit. It might seem a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The chicken is so tender, juicy and delicious. The demi glaze sauce is a must try it’s made of the chicken drippings. The duck was really tender and flavorful, might be on the saltier side. It came with cabbage which tasted so good and fried okra that went great with the duck.
For drinks their house made hibiscus lemonade was super refreshing and their lemon drop was great too.
The people who work there were really nice and hospitable. Excited to go back there and try all their other dishes!

For two years in a row I have had the opportunity to photograph a Baltimore area non-profit Holiday Party at the Rooted Rotisserie. Both years the food, ambiance and staff were amazing. This year I went outside of work responsibilities and the wife and I had an amazing time! She had the lamb and I had the burger…OMG! I snuck and ate her leftovers the next day!
