We ordered on 3/10 and were quoted a delivery time of 1 hour. After an hour and 20 min, my husband called and was told that our order had just left the building and that we would be receiving it hot within 10-15 min. After another 45 min, I called back and spoke with the manager, Maven. He informed me that he only had one driver and that they were doing the best they could. I asked why we were told it had already left and he advised that was what he was telling everyone. I asked if our food would be hot when we got it and he assured me it would be. I suggested that if he had told us the truth when my husband first called, we would have come to pick it up, but he had no response. Overall, Maven was rude and I could tell he just didn’t care. 30 min later our food arrived. The driver was very apologetic and shared that he had just left the building 10 min ago. His name was Seth and I asked if he was the only driver and he shared that he wasn’t. I told him about our conversation with Maven and Seth made a comment about us receiving something off or a refund. I shared that Maven said there was nothing he could do and that it was just the way it was. Seth again apologized profusely and stated that he would talk to Maven when he returned and would then be texting my husband with a resolution. Upon opening our food, we found that it was cold and that the order was completely wrong. Based on the response previously, we didn’t bother to call back. To this date, we have not heard from Seth, Maven, or any of Romeo’s representatives. It’s sad because we do enjoy their pizza, but the service will cause us not to return. Also, Maven said that if I wanted to talk to anyone above him, that I just had to leave a review and hope someone read it. Guess we’ll see…

We ordered a deep dish pizza. Delivery was quick and perfect! The pizza sauce is INCREDIBLY sweet, it had kind of a breakfast syrup aftertaste. I could see how some would enjoy it, it just wasn’t for me. The deep dish pizza isn’t truly a deep dish, it’s more of a thick crust pizza with standard toppings and a generous amount sauce. The sauce and “toppings” are just flip-flopped over the thick crust to give it the appearance of a true deep dish pizza. The thick bread and sugary sauce was so overwhelming, you couldn’t really taste the “toppings.” Given that they charge $2 + for each topping on a pizza that starts at $30 (with just cheese and sauce), it’s a pricey pizza that doesn’t deliver on several fronts.

We order pizza from here regularly. Last night, I had a piece of metal ( screw like) in my pizza. Imagine my surprise when I pulled this out of my mouth. Glad it was me and not one of the kids. Unacceptable.

What I endured tonight was very disheartening as a consumer and product reviewer.My family was hungry after the Bears football game. The closest place to order pizza from is this Rome’s location. I am not a Rookie. I covered my bases before calling to place an order as it was 10pm. When the representative answered the phone; I was advised that the store was closed. I was literally right around the corner about to turn into the shopping plaza. When I approached the restaurant the OPEN light was on….. I was very puzzled at this point. Other patrons were walking out with their order.I looked at the front door and and sure enough the closing time on Friday was 11pm. When I came into the restaurant the staff member said Hello. I asked the young lady the last four digits of the restaurant phone number . She didn’t know but on the counter there it was the phone number I just called place an order. I explained that I had just called to place an order and was told the restaurant was closed. I asked her the hours of operation she stuttered with a couple of umms and then said Oh that’s for tonight only we closed at 10. I asked why isn’t the early close notice placed on the door. I then expressed I would be contacting Corporate as the mysterious early closing change was puzzling. She told me good luck with that.

An absolute terrible experience. Ordered through the seamless app since we can’t order pickup from their website. I paid $20.24 for a large pizza with garlic butter which was an extra $1.25. Go to pickup our pizza and they refuse to give us a garlic butter because their receipt showed a $17 charge with no extra sauces. We then tried show him my confirmation email and bank statement showing $20.24 coming from my account with an extra charge applied for the garlic butter. Manager and staff were so rude, threw the sauce on the counter and kept saying “this is coming out of my pocket” after trying to show him that in fact I paid over $3 extra based off their receipts. Good pizza, terrible staff.

Great pizza, the sauce is my personal favorite in all of Columbus!! If I have an issue, they always make it right. There are some negative reviews here, and it seems the main issue is delivery. I always get pickup, so that is never a problem for me. They are hiring drivers, they’re trying, like a lot of other businesses, to get staffed. I would recommend pickup and give Romeos a shot because it’s seriously great pizza.
