78 year old family business. Founded by Nazzereno Romano on December 1, 1944 . Nazzereno became the originator of the Stromboli sandwich in 1950. Stopped by this place after a road trip from Toronto and was pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the food here. As you can see from my photos, we couldn’t’t wait to dig in. This is one that will definitely have me crossing the border again to satisfy the craving. Don’t let the prices deter you it’s 100% worth it

Ever since my wife and I saw this place featured on the Food Network we had it earmarked. We finally made it and Man Oh Man! The Romano Original Stromboli IS the Gold Standard of Stromboli! Yes, the homemade bread dough is a game changer! We also had the traditional square upside down pizza to boot! (Just as our phenomenal waitress recommended – we were in good hands). And we also checked out the meatballs – the fluffiest meatballs we’ve ever had! So soft and tender. One thing that really stood out is that the food was not greasy at all! Probably has to do with the exceptional quality standard! Let’s not forget that they’re a Coca-cola house with some of the best Coca-cola I’ve had in a while (crushed ice!). We are definitely going back soon and bringing some friends! Legendary stuff!

I was hesitant when making my order. It’s very expensive. The restaurant is very beautiful when going in. Unlike most pizza ships in the area, it actually has a nice ambiance. It’s not loud and noisy or burning from oven heat.

Used to live in the area and miss this place so whenever I’m around I’m sure to stop in. Stromboli and square pizza are my go to! So delicious. And the pizza fries are banging:) I’ve never had wings so crispy but still juicy where I’m at now so props to yous! Parking is easy to find on the street and the location is easy to find as well.

Stayed at a nearby hotel for an early morning flight. This was a great place for a quick and delicious dinner before settling in for the night. My husband and I each got a fountain drink, side salad, and split a medium cheese pizza. Everything tasted delicious. The waitress was very nice and came promptly. The total bill was incredibly reasonable. Would highly recommend. We will be back and will try something from the delicious menu options.

Neat little Italian diner. They ship Stromboli from coast to coast…who knew? The cheese steak was awesome and the servers were friendly and fast. Neat little corner diner with a friendly atmosphere.

It’s a time honored local establishment frequented by local folks. Our waitress was very friendly, but Ramanos was severely understaffed. Our server had the whole floor, answered the phones and took care of counter service. Needless to say, nothing happened at a normal pace. Our pizza and friends sandwich were overdone, resulting in a very crunchy crust that really took away from the taste. I think the establishment is capable of doing much better.

Pizza is delicious and Stromboli was invented here. They also serve meals such as Stuffed Shells, Ravioli, Spaghetti and Meatballs and Lasagna. Or try their subs or salads. Service is fast. And the atmosphere is Italian, with white and green checked tablecloths. You’ll go once and return again and again!
