This place is an absolute gem. We were greeted by the very friendly staff who were both passionate and knowledgeable of the menu. Our waiter helped us select some of his favorite dishes, all were excellent. We tried the Chicken Nanban, Hakata Ramen, Fried squid legs, and their green tea / matcha pudding. Everything I would order again, excited to come back and would highly recommend

BESTEST Ramen in the US period!! Broth is so rich and flavorful and yet not too heavy or salty. Rockmeisha has been my husband’s favorite ramen place for many years (even before they closed during COVID and reopened) and when he first took me to this place last year, I was completely blown away! We also looove their appetizers. In particular, soft shell crab is a must. Also staff members are so friendly and funny. When you are craving good ramen and Japanese appetizers, look no further and please pay a visit to Rockmeisha. You won’t regret it! 🙂

I recently learned that Rockmeisha reopened on the east side so I had to stop in… it was just like walking back into your home after a long vacation. The menu changed a little but everything was still so delicious and everyone there is so welcoming! I will once again be a regular!

Extremely delicious food. I highly recommend the gizzards and potato salad.
Server was super friendly and the vibes are chill inside.
Nothing has been the same since Kambi, but Rockmeisha is finally a worthy replacement.

If escaping to Japan to find their hidden gems from shows like Midnight Diner on Netflix? This place is that. From the food, the service and atmosphere, I tend to like to sit at the bar so I can have a front row seat on a good adventure. From the chef to the waitstaff I felt welcome. Definitely a must go to spot for authentic Japanese bar food with a focus on quality and presentation! #Japan #izakaya #goodfood

Amazing hakata ramen and small plates. Good vibes.

Pork broth is rich, chef from
Japan who used to have a ramen shop in fukuoka.

Get the chicken nanban and hakata ramen. Shishito chips, spicy popcorn shrimp and wings great too.

Best ramen in the city. I repeat, best ramen in the city. While people were ordering next to me I had the urge to shout at them “GET THE RAMEN.” The broth is cooked to perfection, I don’t even like pork but the pork in this ramen tastes so good. The best part is it feels SO light, I finished the whole bowl and did not feel grossly full after.

This place is a greatly kept secret for sure, do not be fooled if it does not have crowds because people just don’t know about this spot yet. The service here is also very kind and make you feel like a guest in their home.

Note they don’t take Apple pay and credit card must have $25 or more

“Authentic” re the kitchen/food feels like a good word… We sat on stools near the door, there’s an area in the back as well… Saki came in a box poured to overflowing into a dish underneath? Unusual & Cool. The food was made and brought out one dish at a time so we were being served almost the whole time the seven of us were there… It wasn’t ‘atmospheric’ in the way I would expect- but somehow it was a little raw and cool… AND -the food was WOW-ex-cell-ent!
