Stylish, brick-lined haunt with a patio serving up seafood, sandwiches, burgers & craft beers.

This is a very cute place in downtown Northport Village. This is an older building which many of them are, so the exposed brick as part of the decor is very cool. The old door at the entry foyer is definitely cool. The food is good…not unbelievable.. but good… The prices are a bit high for what the portions are and the quality of the food… The desserts were probably the best part… The red Sangria was “ok” not fabulous. The waitress Stephanie was great. Really nice, cool chick! Was very attentive and cared very much if we were happy with everything. She gets 10 stars ⭐️ lol. The place is pretty small and also a little too bright… All in all was cute and decent.

Northport is a beautiful Long Island town right on the water. Filled with local shops and this cute restaurant. Go for the muscles and mixed drinks, be sure to sit outside.

Recently moved to Northport and haved enjoyed exploring and discovering all kinds of good bar/restaurants, beach, harbor and overall “village” vibe; now I know why everyone lives here forever…:)
When my “oldest” friend Ross (friends since 1969!) decided to get together catch up a bit, we discussed a few options and Rockin’ Fish was the winner and it certainly was a great experience!
Located in the heart of Northport Village, small place (our visit being in winter, obviously large outdoor area not available), no reservation, Friday at 5:30, parking available right outside. Offered a sweet bar-style table by the window with smiles and friendly manager.
No rush attentive and friendly service by everyone. Prix-Fixe menu not only if you are attending a play up the block (we weren’t) and Ross ordered off that menu.
I had the Cod Fish tacos appetizer and Salmon entree. Both excellent and delicious. My usual Moscow Mule and Ross had a flight off the beer selection.
The waitress Liz was great. Really nice, cool chick! Was very attentive and cared very much if we were happy with everything. Even listened to our stories lol…She gets 10 stars ⭐️ lol.
Overall, Rockin’ Fish is certainly a great part of the Northport Village Sweet vibe. Go and enjoy, with family, friends or a romantic date-night. ☺️

“We had a truly delightful outdoor dining experience, made even better by Christine’s impeccable service—attentive and top-notch. The food was equally impressive, with the seafood specialties standing out as particularly delicious.
I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking exceptional cuisine, a great outdoor ambiance, and warm, professional service.”

Outdoor seating area, with umbrellas . Vast quantity of food choices to pick from. We got 5 things between appetizers and meals to share. Some things were delicious, other things were fine. Flight of Margaritas are intoxicating , varied in degree of sweetness .

Very mediocre night out. First the only alcohol served is beer and wine. Beer selection is okay with ample choices. We ordered clams on the half shell for appetizers, and they were very fresh and good, but at two bucks a piece, a little steeper than other places. Also ordered the fried calamari which was done well. Main course for my girlfriend and I was onion crusted grouper, and fish du jour, which was grilled striped bass with vegetables and was told it came with rice. The grouper was good but very small, as was my striped bass which is cooked as a whole fish. I actually measured the fish and it came to 11 in with the head and the tail, so something doesn’t seem right there as I don’t believe you’re allowed to catch drive past that small. The fish was cooked well but so small that it was unbelievably annoying to eat as it had many small bones for such a small fish. Had the fish been a larger size they are certainly would have been more meat to pick from the bones. A friend of ours ordered the fish and chips, which was fried cod but when she opened the filet, the fish was Brown inside, obviously from overcooking so it was sent back. My other friend had the same Dish as I did only he had a deep fried. Again the flavor was okay but a very small fish, too small to be legal in my opinion. Also my rice was delivered as mashed potato. I didn’t mind so I didn’t say anything. They didn’t charge us for the fish and chip meal but for the remaining three meals appetizers and drinks which was only two beers and a mock margarita, came to $193 before tip. Certainly not worth the trip back. They need to fix a few things. The server was extremely friendly and kind though which was the Saving Grace of the place.

The food itself wasn’t bad, but I don’t think it is worth it for the price. Our fish was dry, the shrimp was a little bland, and it didn’t taste like things were cooked with salt. The oysters were very good though.

Happy hour $1 blue points just like NYC!!! As for the entrees, eh, it could be much better. I thought the entrees were mediocre to below par at best for the price I was paying. Ordered a tuna and a salmon dish. Tuna dish was a 1 star that was a waste of a tuna. Salmon dish was overcooked and just ok at best, a 3 star. If you’re into IPAs, then this is a great place to go. If you prefer hard liquor, you’re out of luck here. 4 stars for the 4 dozen blue points I ordered, 2 stars for the rest of the food and drink options. 5 stars for outdoor seating. 1 star for allowing dogs at outdoor seating.

Lovely outdoor dining, with pets ok, even give a dog bowl for water. Appetizer of baked clams was delicious, and stuffed tuna sushi was the freshest sushi we ever had. Entree of cod with crab meat was amazing, and the red snapper, shrimp and clams with olives and capers was a hit!! Dessert of black cherry ricotta cheesecake was smooth and creamy with fresh whipped cream. The key lime pie had bits of lime zest and beat out any key lime pie we ever had. Definitely try the leinenkugal summer shandy, it’s the perfect refreshing summer beer.
