Perhaps the closest restaurant to the source of fish in the UK. Rockfish Brixham sits in the world famous fish market overlooking the boats as they land their catch which is in our kitchen an hour or so later. We have seating for 80 inside and a further 80 on the terrace which looks directly down to the fishing fleet, the smaller boats start landing from around 5pm each day, its an exciting sight to see fish of all shapes and sizes coming ashore, there really isn’t a better place to enjoy seafood. We also have a full bar with South West ales, a great selection of quality wines and ice cold Estrella Galicia, a fantastic beer with seafood.

Seafood Heaven by the Harbour ⚓️
Rockfish in Brixham is quite simply outstanding and a perfect spot for both locals and tourists alike, with fresh fish coming straight from the world-renowned fish market right next door. The menu is a seafood lover’s dream, and the waiter talks you through the incredible choice of catches of the day, which really adds to the experience. Our waiter was actually a new staff member being trained, and both he and the person training him were excellent – friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic
The food was absolutely sublime! Our party enjoyed a real spread, including prawn cocktail, chowder, calamari, sea bass, and fritto misto – every single dish was fantastic and beautifully cooked I’m reliably informed that the house wine was great too! We even picked up some Rockfish-themed merchandise before we left, which felt like the perfect finishing touch.
A definite must-visit when in Brixham

We ate downstairs in the takeaway. It was a wet November day and from the minute we entered it was warm and cosy as the real fire was burning.

We had an excellent experience at Rockfish in Brixham Harbour with my wife and our Labrador, who was very well looked after. The menu offered plenty of tempting choices, and we especially liked how the waitress described the specials, circling and pricing them on the menu as she explained each dish – a nice personal touch.
The food itself was excellent and beautifully prepared. While the prices felt a little on the high side (more like London prices), the quality and service made it worthwhile. Our server was outstanding – attentive, friendly, and very helpful in guiding us with our choices.
It all made for a really enjoyable evening. As an added bonus, because we were renting a local fisherman’s cottage, our first drinks were complimentary, which was a lovely surprise.

Rockfish in Brixham is an absolute winner. The staff are superb, making you feel instantly welcome—plus, it’s a huge bonus that they’re dog-friendly. The fish is stunningly fresh; I had the John Dory, and my girlfriend had the monkfish, both of which were cooked perfectly. And seriously, the curry sauce is the best I’ve ever tasted. It was a beautiful experience from start to finish.

After walking around town a few times checking the local menus I decided to go here. It’s got a nice deck out the back overlooking the harbour which is nice. It’s got an extensive fish menu so if that’s your thing this place is definitely for you. I couldn’t get past prawn tacos on the menu and I’m glad I picked it too. Yes! They were bloomin’ lovely!

We had a lovely meal at Rockfish – the fish was so fresh and the waiter told us about all of the fish that was caught on the day. Sardines and calamari to start and the prawn tacos for main. We sat on the outside terrace, which is coveted and that was lovely. Would recommend.

The Best fish and Chips I’ve had! Perfectly good, kids really loved their meals which included a chocolate ice cream, which was also the best chocolate ice cream ever! Stunning being able to sit out and look out to the sea, we could also see seals which was just a bonus! Service was brilliant. Definitely recommend!
