This was a nicer experience then I thought it was going to be. I don’t eat meat so food options were limited for me but the other options sounded good. Was a little annoyed that they were all out of the shrimp dumplings at the time but it was mentioned that they had a pretty busy day. Our server was very nice and helpful and the food came out fairly quickly. They also had a full bar and decent selection of drinks, they also had bubble tea which was good too. Definitely need to come back to try the shrimp dumplings as well some other options I saw on the menu, but I’m not in a rush.

food was really good. the sauces were good as well. the ribs were a little too tough for my liking however my boyfriend really enjoyed it. the place was clean and nice environment/ambiance. place was pretty empty. the noodles with the spicy sauce was amazing. the noodles had a nice bouncy texture. wish we could say the same about our server. we went yesterday on a monday around 2. it was our first time. she didn’t explain the menu to us or tell us it was happy hour. we realized after we got the bill. she kept walking away before we could even finish fully ordering and finishing our sentence. she didn’t come up to us to ask if we needed anything or just to check up on us, we had to flag her down just to order more.we don’t know her name bc she never introduced herself.

First time at Ugly Dumplin and I was pleasantly surprise how good the food was. All of the food came out fast, it was fresh and really delicious. 10/10 would recommend this spot!

Soooo delicious! Definitely a great dupe for Din Tai Fung for a fraction of the price. Everything was flavorful, I just wish the spicy items had more spice but thankfully they had a delicious chili oil. Myra was a great server – she was super sweet, attentive, and fast with the food & service! Will definitely come back 🙂

R01 -1/11/26: Ugly Dumpling
My experience today with my family at Ugly Dumpling included phenomenal service, an incredible atmosphere, and great food. Our server (who I unfortunately forgot her name) was amazing, and gave outstanding recommendations. The menu is filled with options, from chicken dumplings to stir fried rice. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the local area who is looking for some high quality Asian food.
Food:
My family ordered chicken wings, pork and crab soup dumplings, the soup dumpling sampler, chicken wings, pork shumai, 2 orders of cucumber salad, shrimp noodle stir fry, steamed pork dumplings, and 2 orders of spring rolls. I was surprised about the prices of each item; however, I do believe that the food quality was spectacular.
The fried items were light, and not greasy at all, which was very pleasant. The noodle stir fry was not overpowered by any ingredients and had a good ratio of noodles, shrimp, and veggies. The cucumber salad was flavorful, and the pork and crab soup dumplings were elegant and delicious. I wish we would have ordered just the pork and crab dumplings instead of the sampler, because we enjoyed the pork and crab dumplings instead of the other options in the sampler. The fried chicken wings were light, and had a nice sauce but were on the smaller side. The steamed pork dumplings were perfect and were eaten very quickly. The only reason why I would give the food 4 stars is because I wish some of the items would be more flavorful. I think that adding more contrast and even spice would elevate the dishes to the next level. I would also like to re-mention that I think the prices could be lowered about 10%. However, that does not take away from the high quality and absolute amazing flavors.
Service:
The service is phenomenal, and the food came out quickly. After we placed our orders, the first couple of dishes came out after about 2-3 minutes. Our server was helpful, as it was our first time, and we were given excellent recommendations. The staff were friendly and attentive to other customers around us.
Atmosphere:
The atmosphere in the restaurant was spectacular. I don’t know if I have ever seen such as well decorated and sleek interior in an Asian restaurant. It had a modern, Japanese ramen shop vibe, with beautiful lighting and vibrant chairs. The floors were clean, tables were shiny, and smelled fine. I enjoyed the artistic elements, along with the hanging lights and wooden architecture.
Overall:
I would definitely come back to this restaurant, and was highly satisfied with my lunch. The food was light and delicious and the exceptional service and atmosphere intrigued me. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like delicious “dim sum” or Asian cuisine in the area. Overall, the restaurant was amazing and I would love to come here again.

The food is really good. I recommend the dumpling sampler. We also order fried calamari and noodles with spicy sauce. The chocolate chip lava cookie was over baked with no lava effect. We went on Valentine’s Day and it was clearly understaffed. Overall great experience with good food.

Place is very nice and clean. We ordered plain noodles which weren’t so good, didn’t taste like much, the pork & shrimp wonton soup was I’d say the best of them all, keep in mind it’s spicy like 6/10, the orange chicken wasn’t good I wouldn’t recommend that and also the fried pork chop is very greasy. Regret coming here but at least the waiter was very nice and attentive.
