Reviews
We started with the calamari and the fontina dip. The calamari was super crispy with a big, hearty portion. The fontina dip was rich, creamy, and you can definitely taste the quality of the cheese.
For mains, our group tried a little bit of everything.
• The Orzo with scallops was a standout — very creamy and the scallops were seared perfectly.
• The Chicken Marsala was really good, especially with the mushrooms and bacon in the sauce.
• The Chicken Parmesan was a hit — big portion of chicken and the sauce had a really nice tangy, rich flavor.
• I had the steak with skillet potatoes, and the steak was cooked exactly how I ordered and packed with flavor. And the skillet potatoes… trust me, get that side.
Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and a much-needed spot for Moultrie. Can’t wait to go back!
From the jump, the hostess set the tone. Super sweet, welcoming, no wait at all. That kind of first impression matters. Walking inside, I was genuinely impressed with the transformation of the space. They’ve done a great job elevating the interior — it feels refreshed, intentional, and inviting without losing character.
We were seated quickly, and our waitress was right on it. Polite, attentive, and knowledgeable. I asked what she recommended, and she gave me her personal favorites — which I appreciate. That tells me she actually eats the food. After she walked me through the menu a little more, I pivoted and tried something different, and I’m glad I did.
When the food arrived, it delivered. Fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. No shortcuts. No phoning it in. Just good Italian done right.
Overall? I was definitely impressed. Strong service, great atmosphere, and food that backs it up. I’ll absolutely be coming back — and next time I might actually take her recommendation.
After living in Moultrie for over two years, I’ve honestly struggled to find dining options that feel elevated and offer a true fine-dining experience. Rocco’s took a chance—and absolutely nailed it.
My husband and I went in expecting a casual dinner and were completely mesmerized. The space itself is beautiful, the atmosphere feels intentional, and the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food truly delivered. We started with the calamari, then ordered the skirt steak with gremolata and the ribeye for our entrées, and finished with the lemon ricotta dessert. Every single dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious—nothing disappointed. When a restaurant gets the appetizer, entrées, and dessert right, you know they’re doing something special.
If I were to offer constructive feedback, it would be to refine the experience just a bit further: tablecloths would elevate the tables, slightly dimmed lighting would create a more intimate dining atmosphere, and more polished, crafted plating would take the presentation to the next level. These are refinements—not flaws.
I am still giving Rocco’s a full 5 stars because they took a bold step by investing in Moultrie and bringing something truly different to the community. I sincerely hope the community supports them, because having this level of dining locally means we don’t have to travel to Thomasville to enjoy a fine-dining experience.
Rocco’s is a win for Moultrie—and I’m excited to see what’s next.
