Just in town visiting and saw this place on the corner and it sounded good. The food is amazing and 10/10 recommend. We got the family platter with 8 quesatacos and 8 regular tacos with asada and al pastor. The restaurant is clean as well as the restrooms. Everything to include the display of the food is stunning. The service is fast and friendly.

We found this restaurant on Google maps while in downtown Ft. Smith. So, we tried it for lunch. Wow! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a dish that didn’t come with rice and beans, but honestly- it didn’t need it. An entire meal in a folded over 12 inch tortilla . Restaurant was very clean and the wait staff was friendly and promt. They have an open kitchen and we will definitely go back to try some of the different dishes coming out of the kitchen. Again, absolutely delicious food.

I loved this place! Service was great. Food was authentic as I’ve ever had. Place was clean. Portions were amazing. Waiter had great recommendations and I ate like a king.

I’ll definitely be back.

Very disappointed in Birrieria La Jefa. My wife and I live in the country, about an hour and a half drive away from this place.
We happened upon about a month ago when we drove out to Fort Smith. We decided to take a chance with them and our server suggested the Birria wet burritos. So we both took his suggestion and ordered them. They were delicious. So good that we bragged about them to our friends.
This past Saturday we had nothing better to do, so we decided to go for a drive to Fort Smith to revisit this place. My wife was more excited about the meal and I’ve ever seen her get about food. She had really built it up in her mind based on our first visit there.
Unfortunately for us, the same staff that served and cooked for us the first time was not there. This time we had a different server and cook. We ordered the exact same thing as last time.
This time we had a very different experience. This time the burritos were much smaller and had very little meat in them. They are inconsistent with their menu items. Apparently your satisfaction will depend on who’s staffing the restaurant when you visit. Needless to say we won’t be back.

They had one waitress and we were the only customers in there at the time. It took 5 minutes for her to get off of her laptop and take our drink order. Then another customer came in shortly followed by a family of 3. While we waited (10 minutes) for our drinks, the other customers walked out bc she didn’t bother to get there drink orders. We were on our way out when she stopped my wife and said that the drinks were ready. They weren’t ready we waited another 5 minutes for our drinks. They were decent drinks. But, waiting almost half an hour for our drinks is insane. Especially when we were the only customers she was helping. After we killed our drinks we paid nearly $20 for two drinks. THEN WE WENT DOWN THE STREET TO LA HUERTA.
DO NOT GO HERE OR CALL IN YOUR ORDER AN HOUR AHEAD

First time here and I had an overall good experience. The ordered the queso birria tacos and they were excellent. The service was friendly and considering it wasn’t super busy the food came out pretty quick. I’ll def be back to try the breakfast. Will update the review once I go back.
Went back and we ordered the family platter. Great deal for a bunch of food.

I’ve passed by this place many times & finally decided to give it a try with my granddaughter. It wasn’t your regular Mexican restaurant with a catchie Mexican name but I thought a very unique name. I asked what it meant but I forgot what the waitress said. I’m sure they’ll be happy to tell you. That’s what really peaked my interest about the place. I got the 3 tacos which were lightly fried and some cilantro over the meats. I got the beef, pork & the chicken. Also the red & green sauces. Beans and rice also came with the meal and it was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be going back to this place for sure.

Tacos (Birria) were really good on our 1st time here. Another day, we stopped by for breakfast and the breakfast food was okay, at best. Their menu has margaritas & mimosas listed, but they don’t have either of those yet. We’ll stop by again for tacos after they’re open longer & get everything running more smoothly. Doubt we give breakfast another chance (it was way off).
