I like the amount of food & they don’t over season. Queso is good, too. They have improved the outside some & hours are posted on the door now. Google maps is correct on the hours too. I think they still need music. I mean they REALLY need music. Hearing everyone’s conversations isn’t that entertaining
Original review: Went here last week for lunch. I ordered the plate with the fried avocado, enchilada & taco. I like that the taco was not over seasoned. I hate orange paste meat! My husband ordered the burrito plate. The fajita was finely chopped up. I think the meat should be chunkier. But it was good. My husband said his plate was good. They are a coke place, which is good. I hate pepsi. They do have a lunch menu on a chalkboard. We were hungry & didn’t order from that.
The salsa comes out in a container. I think it should be hot or warm in a small bowl. But I don’t use salsa, so I can’t tell you how it is. My husband didn’t use any. The chips were good. Overall, it’s not bad. It’s pretty good. Waitress was attentive. Total was around $32. The inside needs music! Too quiet in there. Turn up a t.v. (& no news!) Best is a radio or a Bluetooth speaker. Mexican restaurant – use Mexican music. Music sets the atmosphere! Now the outside needs some TLC. I do not care about that, but many people do. Paint job on the building, cut weeds & fix signs. They have a sign that says sorry closed on …. whatever day. People don’t read everything. They read Sorry Closed & go somewhere else. Take that down & post a sign with clear hours. With this being near 45, it really needs to be open on the weekend to make it at that location. Close on Monday &/ or Tuesday. Hopefully, they can make a few changes & that makes a huge difference! I will update this review if that happens.
It took me a while to read through the menu and absorb it all.
In the meantime the nicely seasoned salsa with chips kept me preoccupied.
They even had Jaritos and I settled on the Fajitas combo for one.
The beef, chicken, onions and peppers came on a sizzling black iron slab with wood undertray. Second plate had the rice, refried beans, sour cream, pico de gio and guacamole . There was also a good sized lime wedge to drizzle lime juice over the meat and rice.
The meat was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Rice was fully cooked and nice and fluffy, beans were good and consistent and nothing burned or undercooked.
Portion size was just perfect. Waiter was very attentive and literally within earshot the whole time.
I will definitely be back to this place to try more things off the menu.
I will be going back
Update. Their mixed fajitas are definitely a do again
