Moved out of the area so I haven’t been here in years, but went last night and it was even better than I remember.
The hot dog was hands down one of the best I ever had.

Just left Riv’s Toms River in Toms River and WOW. What a disaster. People are saying it might be the worst dining experience in the history of dining. Many people. Very upset people.
Walked in expecting food. What I got? A microwave symphony. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. That’s the chef’s kiss apparently. If I wanted reheated freezer cuisine I’d raid my own kitchen at 2am in sweatpants. Incredible stuff. Truly groundbreaking in the field of “Did You Even Try?”
The vibe? Let’s just say if bumper stickers could yell, this place would be screaming. Felt less like a restaurant and more like I accidentally wandered into someone’s very loud Facebook comment section.
The food came out suspiciously fast. Too fast. Olympic-level reheating speed. Burgers with that “fresh from the plastic wrap” essence. Fries with the emotional depth of cardboard. I’ve had better meals at gas stations. GAS STATIONS.
Service? Confused. I was confused. They were confused. Everyone was confused. Possibly even the microwave.
Overall: 1 star. Would not return unless conducting a scientific study on how many ways you can overheat a frozen appetizer. Tremendous disappointment. Historic. Never again.

Stopped in with a group to hear The Mangoes play (Go Vols!) and they were awesome. And Riv’s is equally awesome. Salmon bites a tasty appy and the Reuben with housemade chips was delicious. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, great music, and Great drinks. 5 G’s out of 5

Just got the Sunday Sauce, a great combo. Includes 4 meats in one dish. His famous sauce never disappoints. Included salad and garlic bread. My new regular spot for Sundays.

We went out to dinner on a Monday night and the 1/2 price burger special is super tasty! We had Bill for a server and he was awesome! Very attentive, polite and friendly. All of the staff there are top notch! We will be requesting to have Bill again next time we are there!

You must have Monica make you a martini… I asked her for a Milky Way martinis, but she was making all kinds of good ones! Went down there to see a band ended up with a fantastic dinner. My boyfriend had shrimp and broccoli over rice. I ordered their flatbread special pizza. The sauce was to die for we are definitely going back.

Meet some friends here for the Peacock playoff game and had a great time. Started with the loaded tots, and then I had the Riv Burger, which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. They offer she great drink options, including an excellent spiked root beer! There are tons of daily food specials on the menu, and some great daily specials like 1/2 off burgers! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They do have live music as well, which definitely made watching the Dolphins dismal play easier to watch… Overall, we all had a great time and is definitely a place I’ll be back to!! I’m looking forward to trying the chicken francese dip – it looked amazing!
