Very polite staff. Very reasonable prices and they always have specials.
Amazing friendly staff, delicious food, and great prices. I love their eggs benedict here so much! Perfection.
**Ambiance:** The place itself had a depressing atmosphere. We stood inside for about five minutes before anyone acknowledged us. When the waitress finally came over, she seemed disinterested and even sighed when I mentioned our group size. The only table that could fit us needed to be cleaned, and she did so with an attitude that made us feel like an inconvenience.
**Service:** After sitting down, we waited for ten minutes without menus. When we finally got to order, she still seemed annoyed and never smiled. It felt like our presence was a burden to her. While serving, she reached over our heads to pass plates. When I mentioned I had asked for hash browns, not home fries, she looked annoyed and reluctantly said she would bring a side of hash browns.
**Food:** The food was mediocre at best:
– Home fries tasted like they came from a frozen bag, while the hash browns were fine.
– The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Florentine was too tart, though the eggs were cooked perfectly.
– The tuna melt was bland and looked unappetizing.
– The skillet was served in a plastic container that resembled a hospital bedpan, which was off-putting.
– The apple pie with ice cream was served without ice cream.
– The omelets were overwhelmingly cheesy, with more cheese than eggs.
**Final Incident:** After paying, we left and we stood outside near a dollar store in the same strip mall. The waitress came out aggressively, pointing at my sister who had gone into the dollar store, shouting, “She didn’t pay.” My sister had indeed paid, tapping her card twice before inserting it into the machine, she asked if it went through and had received a receipt. Confused and annoyed, I walked over and offered to pay again if there was an issue. The waitress rudely questioned why I was paying and who my sister was and she grudgingly accepted my payment, making me wait outside to confirm the transaction. The way she approached us made it seem like we had committed a crime, which was incredibly unprofessional. She should have calmly informed us if there was an issue with the transaction instead of making a scene.
**Conclusion:** The overall experience was negative. The food was mediocre, the atmosphere was depressing, and the service was unprofessional and hostile. I would not recommend Riverside Family Restaurant based on this experience.
Freshly made, full plate of food!

NEW OWNERS
Pros
-new clean menus
-new cutlery
-basic breakfast excellent
Cons
-price changing after 10am, cause eggs cost more after 10!
-waitress, I’m assuming the owner, looks like she’s ready to sell already, not friendly…at all, for a new business owner
So we’ll see..
