My son took me here for dinner last week, and it was wonderful! We started off with the crab cakes as an appetizer. They were incredibly light and tasty; the sauce drizzled over the top had a tiny kick to it – loved it! For the main course, we had the brisket mac n cheese. The brisket was so tender and generously portioned; the mac n cheese was creamy and plentiful. I also got the Rueben sandwich to take back to my hotel for the next days lunch – I wasn’t disappointed. Figuratively speaking, Benjamin put his foot in it…wiggled those toes around a bit. Translated, it means that it’s awesome food, and I’ll be back next time I come to visit! Good job, Chef!!

Ordered the Reuben sandwich with fries. The sandwich was grilled to perfection with lots of meat yet very balanced seasoning. Excellent food and service. Free off street parking in the back along the white exterior of the building. Mellow relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable seating next to the window.

Flavorful addition to town!! Was so excited to see a new restaurant opening on Fulton. Their menu rotates weekly, with lunch offerings also offered in evening. Excited to come back for more. Hoping there’s some chicken/turkey lunch options getting added in the future to round out the menu selections 🙂 Had the gumbo and it was wonderful.

Really, really good. Tried the Moroccan meatballs w/ harissa and couscous. Spicy, a little sweet, tender, and a very generous portion size. Couscous was cooked *perfectly*.
Emily took great care of me and Benjamin killed it in the kitchen. I will absolutely be back. Go here and let them serve you.

Homely restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and great service. You can hear the chef preparing the food in the kitchen and smell the yumminess from your table. The power bowl was incredible. Will definitely be back! All we left was dirty plates 😉

Wife and I went here for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised given they just opened a week ago.
We split the crab cakes which were great and were topped with some of the best remoulade I’ve had.
I had the stuffed quail which was served on a bed of cheesy grits with a sweeter sauce and broccoli. You can tell care went into the dish as the flavors melded perfectly.
My wife got the kimchi grilled cheese, normally a lunch item, which had the perfect ratio of cheese, kimchi, and bread.
Lastly, our server was very nice and attentive (I wish I remembered her name).
REALLY rooting for this place and I’m excited to see what’s next on their rotating menu.

Dirty Plate is a must stop spot on the up and coming area of Fulton. The food is incredible and the owner is a great guy. The focus on quality for a good price and a zero waste approach to food service is refreshing. Did I mention the food is incredible?
Get the pork belly if that’s your thing, but you can’t go wrong with anything that looks interesting on the menu. Menu rotates, so check back often

Wow, what a surprising find! Our son had just come out of surgery and was hungry for some early dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to find this quirky place with elevated comfort food for decent value! Everything we had was incredibly delicious, especially the pork belly sandwich! The chef and hostess were very friendly and welcoming. Wish we lived closer so we could come more frequently but alas at least our son lives in Grand Rapids and has now found a great local place.

A tiny place that serves amazing food.
As mentioned, menu rotates regularly.
This is the schnitzel with spaetzel, which was amazing, as were my tastes of the sweet potato gnocchi and beef bourguignon. Will be back.

Stopped in for dinner one night and it was amazing! I got the crab cakes and braised brisket. There is a rotating menu that changes weekly which I find exciting. It was a Friday night and Ben (chef/owner/apparently everything else too) was running the show solo, which was very impressive. I will definitely be back!
