02/’26 First time in.
Positives: Great design concept for bar & restaurant. Good menu choices. Good waitstaff.
Negatives: Bathroom toliet lid covered w feces. Coleslaw just didn’t taste correct, tasted off. Two chicken wings were raw and bloody.
Overall experience: They took wings off bill, but no other compensation. For the price of food, not worth it to try again.

I came in for lunch with a few people I work with. I’ll start with what they said about their food. The burger and Mac and cheese balls were really good, the steak horseshoe was really good and perfectly cooked, the spaghetti burger and Mac and cheese was amazing. Now I ordered the meatball sub. The bread and sauce was really good but the meatballs themselves were like a soggy bread. I’m not even sure there was meat in those balls. Everything else was great though and the prices were good. I’m sure if I had ordered something else I would have been happy.

4 of us traveling home needed lunch and potty break. Picked Riverside off google. Had the best grilled catfish I have ever had! Others had meatloaf special. Said it was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. Decor and atmosphere fun!

Walking in you could tell the places has recently been remodeled. Very nice atmosphere. The waitress told us to seat ourselves as she was taking another order so that was fine we got to pick our seats! Immediately after came over asked us for our drink order and I asked for a drink menu. There wasn’t one which was kind a let down because I had no idea what to order. She named off a few drinks told me she was new and I ended up just ordering a Pepsi. Had they had a drink menu I might have ordered one, or two. The food was great. I have zero complaints. We were lacking some napkins, I wish servers would leave those when they seat people. The food service was hot, fast and accurate. My fries were crispy and my burger was decent as well.

Stopped into the Riverside Bar and Grill randomly while on a girls trip. We were absolutely charmed by the atmosphere, excellent service and the really good food! Highly recommend the horseshoe. If you’re in Havana you need to stop. Shout out to Bill -he’s the best!

Stopped in here on recommendation and definitely won’t be coming back. Our service was okay, food was subpar and over priced. My daughter ordered catfish and couldn’t even choke one bite down. It was undercooked and soggy. We still had to pay for it anyway and no offer for something different for a 11 year old . The waitress offered to go back and ask the boss if it could be taken off our bill and they said no. Definitely won’t recommend to anyone else. I paid $15.50 for food that wasn’t eaten plus to cost of stopping and getting her something else to eat from somewhere else.

First time here. Nice looking place. Waitress friendly. Wait time good. Ordered riversteak, it was ok had a hint of teriyaki, im not much on that. Salad was good with adequate dressing. Baked potato was horrible, not fluffy at all wasnt true baked potato. Cooked in roaster I believe. Ordered to go, no phone calls had to go in to order which I believe is done just to get you to purchase a drink while you are waiting.
Might try again.

Wonderful Experience! The service was excellent, the food was flavorful and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The building’s charming design adds to the overall experience. We’ll definitely be coming back—this has become a new favorite spot!

Boy these people did a really nice job restoring an old building downtown and no doubt saved it from collapsing. To his credit, a young local guy with little restaurant experience took on this enormous project with the help of family and friends. And again to his credit has created some jobs in a small town by hiring very young and mostly inexperienced people to surround him. There is something to be said for hiring experienced people in any business, let alone in the bar and restaurant business where the tricks of the trade are vital to success. Or to at least train your inexperienced staff so they can help make your business a success. This place lacks in experience in all aspects, from the bartenders to waitstaff to the cooks, and it painfully shows with each and every visit. The food is always decent, but not special or memorable. Usually arrives somewhat less than piping hot, and somehow looks skimpy with little adornment. The catfish is way too salty. Huge shrimp cocktail is served with an unfamiliar sauce that is not traditional and does not do the beautiful shrimp any favors, and the shrimp always arrives luke warm. Not good. The side salad is about what you get when McDonalds serves one, an afterthought at best. And what is with the “creamed corn” over and over…it goes well with very little on the menu, although we are definitely in corn country…how about corn fritters as an unexpected side or freebie. Steaks should not be served unless they are 1 1/2 inches thick or they simply do not have time for the fat to render properly so having one properly medium rare is not possible, it is always over done or chewy at 3/4 inches thick. Of course the price has to go way up if you double the thickness, or maybe you sell it as a steak sandwich at best. These observations are made as feedback to the manager not as criticism since the very young and less traveled staff have no idea what constitutes good food. And bagged lettuce…disgusting. At least give it a rinse in a salad spinner before serving and offer blue cheese for God’s sake. They have won half the battle of bringing a new restaurant to a small town and now it’s time to conquer the food! Good luck…you’ve got this.

We were here for drinks and appetizers only on St. Patrick’s Day. The place is very nice inside. It was busy, but our service was good and the staff were friendly. I enjoyed the large slices fried portobello mushrooms the most.
