Coffee was good, service was quick, everyone was polite and professional. Patio was a decent size and great for enjoying the amazing weather. I also got a chocolate croissant that was really delicious. Not sure why people are knocking stars for “lack of smiles” but I’m assuming they require service people to be super engaging at 6am when they’re on vacation??

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is the second time I’ve been to River Blend. It’s connected to Hotel Denver, and is extremely convenient. I stopped in last year when I was staying at the hotel, and I couldn’t believe the rudeness of the woman who was making my coffee. She acted as if I was lucky to be in her shop. So, going back this year was a shot in the dark. I wanted to give the place a second chance, and I love giving my money to small business owners. We were all recovering from Covid fatigue last year, and I figured she had a rough couple of years with closures. To my surprise, she was more rude than the year before. I ordered a cappuccino, and as she started to prepare it, she looked at me and said she makes her cappuccinos “dry”. I apologized for not knowing the term “dry”, and she responded in the most condescending and arrogant way about it meaning little froth. I tried lightening the mood by smiling and making small talk, but she wasn’t having it. I’m not sure why this person is so miserable, but perhaps a job working with people is not suited for her. Trust the negative reviews and go elsewhere.

I agree with all the recent reviews on here about service. The gal working the register could barely even crack a smile or say something other than related to the order, which was very short and snippy. The gal behind the coffee bar was really nice! I know there’s staffing shortages in this area but the person who owns this place seems clueless as to what’s going on day to day. Breakfast sandwich looked yummy but was flavorless. No sauce and was very dry.

Coffee was good. Service was also good. But the breakfast sandwich was seriously the worst one I have ever seen in my entire life. It was like a tablespoon of chopped sausage mixed into literally about 3 eggs worth of liquid and then microwaved. Absolutely disgusting. They did give me a refund without fussing which I appreciated. But that sandwich was so atrocious I will definitely never come back here again.

Nikki is the manager here I had the privilege of her making my coffee this morning. Regular hot white chocolate mocha. Megan made the cinnamon roll and Samantha checked me out! These ladies rock. They are so welcoming even so early in the morning. They have great teamwork, communication and customer service skills! See u ladies next week !

River blend has very good coffee, and is a great place to hang out. It is large, and full of light. They have a good selection of breakfast items, and great breakfast sandwiches. The staff is friendly. If I’m looking for a quick breakfast before work, I stop here.

Excellent coffee and superb service! They offer free refills with drip coffee, and have many alternative milk options for lattes. They have a small menu of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches, as well as some quiches. I very much appreciated the convenience of this coffee shop being connected to the hotel denver, as well as the witty chalkboard sidewalk sign! Loved it!
