Wouldn’t order from here again. Was pretty bad.
My “fresh toasted italian roll” meatball sub was frozen meatballs and a super soggy amaroso roll. I couldn’t even pick it up because it sloughed apart in the box.

Incredibly disappointing meal from a restaurant that was highly recommended to us. We are very frequent diners at many restaurants across our area and love Italian food. Ristorante Denicola was, far and away, the worst meal we’ve eaten in quite some time. Allow me to be more specific:
Bread was crumbly and dry and fell apart in your hands when you tried to butter it. It had the same consistency as frozen bread that has been defrosted and allowed to go stale. Server claimed that the bread was fresh and hot but got crumbly because he used a “cold knife to cut it.”
We ordered two Prix-fix plans that included soup or salad, pasta, and entree. Salads were swimming in dressing. Soggy and containing only spring mix, a few chopped carrots, and two small pieces of tomato.
My wife’s minestrone was like water. Overly full of cabbage and thinner than a can of Campbell’s.
My penne alla vodka was flavorless and served with an overabundance of cheese. The chicken parmigiana was a brown, mushy, flavorless slab of chicken so devoid of flavor it MUST have been frozen before as well. Easily the worst I’ve ever had.
The server was pleasant and even offered us a small complementary pizza while we waited for our food, but his good service couldn’t make up for the horrible food we were served.I asked him at the end of the meal where the real chef was because our food was inedible. He told us the regular chef was off that night but did nothing for our bill to make up for this really unpleasant dining experience.

Felt like sitting at an Italian family’s kitchen table. Friendly. Complimentary food kept coming. Large portions. Pasta cooked perfect! Difficult to find – hidden gem.

First time here, and I’m only maybe ten bites in and I couldn’t be happier. Why I haven’t been here before is beyond me, but hey, maybe a new favorite place?! All tastes great and the portions are literally mind-blowing, HUGE!!

Came here later in the evening on a whim with my large group of 18 people of family & Friends. They were so nice & accommodating , I had some people in the group that had food sensitivity and other issues but they were able to address those issues. It was a wonderful true relaxing experience, good Italian food takes time to prepare and it was well worth the wait!!!! Everything was delicious and our waiters were top notch, so nice, helpful, accommodating, patient and attended to our every need. The owner was amazing too! Can’t wait to go back… Really a great place!!!

We had chicken dinners. Actually very good. Portions so big, take home. Place sort of hidden, not readily visible but hidden gem. Prices very reasonable. BYOB ALSO. WILL BE GOING BACK SOON.

I just ordered catering from here for a large party of 25 people and would highly recommend this place to anyone. I ordered various meat, pasta and veggie dishes and they were all great. For example, the chicken piccata melts in your mouth and my guests were fighting over leftovers. Would definitely order from here again and next time box up my own leftovers before letting it all disappear!

Walking in was one of two tables. First table was done before we received the very dense stale bread. My dinner was good. My wife the pasta was very dry. Too much pasta that has soaked up all the sauce. Service is great because we were only one of two tables there at a time.

Would absolutely come back … everything was fantastic.
Everything tasted fresh and made to order. I appreciate the fact that someone made my pasta by hand. I appreciate the fact that real fresh peas were used rather then canned.
The fresh garlic bread and brushetta was awesome!!
I liked the fact that this place wasn’t so big. I liked the fact that when I took my son there tonight, it wasn’t crowded. I could see, though, there could be some disappointed people. Especially, when there was only one chef this evening.
I am hard to impress. I put every single Italian restaurant to my mom test. If they cook similar to her, I’m happy. And again, the freshness of everything also made it that much better.
So what if bread was crumbly when you buttered it. It’s bread…it’s butter… eh
But, the amount of food and for the price, is a definite positive for me.
And tonight, we had the best waitress. A total mom & pop restaurant. Everything had an extra personal touch.

Came here as a last second option for dinner as a party of 11. I do understand a big party can take a while in a restaurant. And it’s appreciated that we were given a couple little free appetizers while we wait for our food, but some individual appetizers such as soup came out at different times, cold and I didn’t get mine and when offered I didn’t even want it at that point any more. People came in after us, got their food, ate, and left before we even finished getting the rest of our starters. One of our party members is a child with celiacs and ordered a gluten free pasta and had to sit here hungry for well over an hour because the appetizers were not gluten free. Food was mediocre at best. We were here for an unnecessary almost 3 hours. Tonight was just ridiculous. Will not be coming back.
