The place was ok i didnt like the fact that they put your take out on plates and they charge you a .75 take out fee plus it wasnt even busy and they took long to place your order and to get it. It was that little bit of people and it still took a long time.

Notably expensive (lunch of fried fish, yams and greens was $16.78) and there is rather sporadic answering of the phone. The family is so kind and it is Black-ownwd, however, and this must be taken into account for it’s importance to the community and need to be there. I would recommend a multi-line phone system for them and a website for prices. But they get an A++ for kindness.

Waited to long for order, called several times to place a pick up order, got a busy signal. So I decided to go there and order. Can’t believe nowadays you don’t have call waiting, when I walked in a women was on a personal phone call, maybe that’s why the line was busy. We could not eat the food, pancakes so salty I could not even eat them. My wife potatoes same thing. Lemonade undrinkable way to much sugar. Tasted like full concentrate. I will not return.

I’ve literally eaten here at any time of the day and the food is great. People complain about the wait just call ahead and you should be fine ♀️ In my opinion it even leaves you room for travel. I’d rather eat here and wait that wait why because only real food takes time to make.

… this is my second visit…. Down home, excellent food! On my first visit i enjoyed a fish hoagie (on my next visit i will include photos), it was on point! My second visit i enjoyed a fish platter(greens, green beans for sides) they were out of potato salad …. The atmosphere is simple, friendly AND all about business! I like that.. upon entering there is a wall on the left, the “wall of shame” for customers who do not pick up their orders (i dont want my name on that). The price for two platters was $31 with tax. Before you complain, the portions were excellent, we could not finish! From start to finish my order took about 30 minutes, maybe a little less. Ill be going

Food was GREAT! A nice hot cooked meal. Food took a bit too long to be brought out but it was worth the wait. “Can’t rush greatness!” The city itself isn’t in the best of shape economically but I’d like to continue to keep coming back to this establishment. It’s a small black-owned business and I support that 100%. Me and my significant other both enjoyed our commute there all the way from New Jersey and would highly recommend this place to friends and family. Would definitely expect to be back for more delicious delights.

This food was SO GOOD!! Aside from the great hospitality we received while waiting for our order, the food was GREAT!! The atmosphere was really nice and warm even tho they weren’t dine in they still made you feel at home while waiting. I definitely recommend and will definitely visit again!!!!

I called 48 times between 7am-7:35am to place a pick up order and nobody picked up (no exaggeration) It’s not like you can walk in and place a pick up order because it takes 30-40mins for your breakfast order to be complete no matter how small or large the order. I just got introduced to this place and the food is honestly good but the SERVICE IS TOO SLOW. I understand it’s “not fast food” but I should not feel like I’m begging to get serviced. Close the restaurant all together. Everyone who works in their moves at the speed of a turtle… I might be wrong, iv seen turtles move faster !
