Ate an early dinner here and sat on the outdoor patio! It was hot in August at 6pm, but not unbearable. Good atmosphere!
I really enjoyed the fried mahi mahi tacos!! Two tacos with two big pieces of fish, rice & beans. $13. (I had to eat the whole one before remembering to take a pic!) The jalapeño sauce on the taco was delicious and pineapple salsa fresh.
Complimentary chips & salsa.
My fiancé tried the brisket street tacos $13 for 3 small tacos, rice & beans and thought the brisket was a bit dry, but still good. He really enjoyed the beans that were slightly spicy!

Our server was nice & quick with our meal & drinks!

House frozen Margarita was tasty!

As a Texan, I approve of this restaurant. Food came out quickly. The queso was so delicious I could have made that my entire meal. The beans had great flavor. The fajitas also tasted & cane out great. I also had perfect service by my waiter.

I’ll definitely be back.

Great atmosphere. Probably the best shrimp tacos I’ve had. I asked the gentleman behind the bar, to fix me his favorite drink which was a tequila old fashion. It was very good.

Simple and sufficient. Had the brisket enchiladas with beans and rice lunch. Not a rice person so got beans only. Everything was tasty, fresh and quick. As stated by others there is no additional charge for chips and salsa. Clearly my experience wasn’t that of the other “critics.” I don’t tend to write novelettes about unpleasant experiences either. The ONLY thing I would have done differently would to have asked for double beans – they are just spicy enough and most tasty!

Cool spot, no HH on weekends but the food was good. Chips and salsa included as a freebie which is always a plus. Nice bartender. Good indoor/outdoor seating in heart of downtown Baton Rouge.

I got the street tacos which were pretty good – brisket was the best of the three.

They were even closing up and were gracious in never rushing us at all. I would definitely go back here !

We stopped by for lunch after museum hopping. Standard beginning with chips and salsa. Warm, crispy chips. Salsa was mild but good. I like heat (spice not temp) in my salsa. Started with guacamole. Slightly different than what I’m used to but still good. Cumin added?? The Veggie Tacos were excellent and very filling! My husband ordered the shrimp enchiladas with a side of street corn. He was very happy with the food as well and said this is his new favorite spot! Service was very friendly!

HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! It took 45 minutes after sitting to get queso (which was very good I might add, along with the chips) and get this, a margarita. When it arrived, it was SOUR as freaking lemons. No one could drink this margarita, trust! I’ve NEVER had a drink so bad. No way was I able to drink it, nor did I pay for it.
They really have the makings with its central location in the downtown area to be great, but it’s such a shame the food and service is just not there. I mean its not even close! This has to be the owner’s first attempt at getting into the restaurant business, as it lacks so much even on a basic level. They’ve really got to get their act together and I mean fast or they won’t be open long. Here in the south, if your food is good, word travels fast, but on the other hand if it’s bad, it travels faster. To be honest, I’ve been better served at a food truck. I did, however, give my waitress a generous tip as I believe in taking care of them regardless.

Celebrated Cinco De Mayo at this establishment. This place used to be a fully operated bar and club. They converted the bottom floor into a Mexican restaurant. Took 20 minutes to get our water and drinks. The food wasn’t good at all. I ordered the street taco meal. My corn tortillas weren’t cooked, my actual tacos where cold. The frozen margaritas were terrible. The grapefruit margaritas was the worst. The regular margarita was better but needs sweetener. If you’re drunk and hungry, I recommend you go. If you actually love Mexican food and a foodie. I don’t recommend you try this place. The prices were pretty good. I had two margaritas and a meal including dessert and it was all under 30.00
The staff is friendly and the crowd was very lively. Overall I’d rate this restaurant a 6 out of 10. I’m sure I won’t go back unless I’m drunk and just need something in my stomach. However this place is downtown and had great energy.
