Get your receipt and check it. They will charge you more than what is on the menu for some things. I really wanna continue to go to this place but I can’t pay $30 for one meal. I can but I choose not to. And I think it’s robbery to charge someone $6.50 for a side of anything. You don’t have to be so money hungry if you lower your prices, you will get lots of customers, and therefore you will make lots of money. Doesn’t making four dollars off 100 people make more sense than making six dollars off of 10 people?!!! Sheesh!!
Food:
Chicken wings: nice size, cooked well, lacking flavor
Greens: good a lil bland but good enough
Yams: good- OFC they’re good, they’re full of sugar
Crawfish egg rolls – bland, needs a dipping sauce, literally 1 crawfish in the entire roll. Had to split it to check if there was crawfish in it.

I frequent the Addison location quite a bit & I’m always satisfied with my food. This was my first time at this location this evening & the food was not good at all. I’ve never had a smothered pork chop with gravy thick as mud. I had to add water to the rice & my candied yams were still a tad bit hard. I genuinely love supporting Soulful Street Bites but tonight’s experience wasn’t a pleasant experience.

This was the best soul food I had in a long time. That fried okra, catfish and greens were amazing. The staff was super friendly knowledgeable and helpful. When you go don’t forget to get the kool-aid and banana pudding. We traveled over 2 hours just for this.

I had the soul food bowl with chicken wings, cabbage, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese and cornbread. The wings were not fried crispy, and were burned and not seasoned well. Cabbage and macaroni and cheese and cornbread were okay, sweet potatoes were very good. The service and atmosphere were excellent! Soul food is hard to duplicate in different locations so I wonder if there is universal seasoning or if each location follows a recipe. It was grand opening so I’ll give them a few weeks before visiting again.

Omg!!! This place is the soulful truth!!! From the time you walk in with the smiles and soul jams. We ordered catfish bites, chicken wings, Mac, bake beans, greens, yams, and Kool aid. Baby when I say I’m still thinking about that mac and cheese and those baked beans, as they were nothing short of amazing & did not let me done. It’s time for me to replay that back. I must say definitely something to give a try if you hadn’t already and add it into you lunch and dinner rotation. Highly recommend!!!
