I Stay In ATL But My Family Is Originally From Philly. I Haven’t Been To Philly In About 10 Years, But Me & My Mom Flew To Philly This Week For Her Birthday. As We Were Driving I Spotted Richman’s And Couldn’t Believe How Many Options They Had For Food & Desserts. Three Days Later I Finally Stopped By On A Friday Night Before Leaving Tomorrow And I Couldn’t Believe How Soft & Creamy This Ice Cream Was ! I Got The Small Vanilla Soft Ice Cream With Rainbow Sprinkles And It Was Soooo Good. I Felt Like A Kid Again & My Mom Said It Took Her Back To Her Childhood. Definitely Recommend This Place. Next Time I’ll Try The Banana Split !

I read all the bad reviews and wasn’t expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. Ezra at the counter was a nice guy and he laughed at my jokes so ++. I ordered a burger and timed it and it was 11 min. So not bad if they really are making it. And it’s freakin good for a little ice cream shop. I got the kids meal because I had a coupon so it came with fries and a drink. I was happy with it all. I will tell my friend cause she would probably like the burger there. They don’t charge you for any of the things you put on the burger and they have richmans sauce. I actually think this is a lowkey good spot for a burger. No one talks about it

Super bummed that this large fry was $6 and this little additional cup of cheese was $1.29. The fries were way under done. The chicken sandwhich looks like a spicey mchicken that was also $9.50. The ice cream was awesome which is why I gave it 3 stars. Will not be ordering food from here again.

My friends split a brownie Sunday and they really loved it.
I had my usual, a small vanilla cone dipped in chocolate. First, it was a very weak dip. I should have taken a before pic, but didn’t.
The ice cream was okay, and I took one bite of the cone and it was stale.
I threw the rest away.

We were in the area and the kids wanted some icecream .. I’m so happy we stopped at Richman’s.. we ordered their funnel cake, brownie sundae, chocolate m&m sundae , 1 scoop of mint chocolate chip, and a peanut butter oreo milkshake.. everything was delicious ❤️

Nothing beats a workday other than good ice cream, I’ve been told about this please many of times. For the first time yesterday I gave them a try around 3:15 PM their staff ruined my experience. As a business owner I would have fired the three employees, due to their unprofessionalism ignorance, and all around rudeness after I parked my vehicle, I walked over, stared at their menu for a hot second, and was ready to order I saw their employee she looked directly at me, then walked away. I was confused for a second because I figured maybe she was making someone else’s order. But my companion who was standing by our vehicle, could see directly into the shop and she and the other employees were just on their phones. At that point I was beginning to lose my patience because again I made eye contact with the male employee at this point and he did the same thing. So I took it upon myself to ask them if they were open. Rather than say, ma’am you’re at the wrong service window no one thought to say anything. Finally when I realize I’m at the wrong service window no help them letting me know not a single sign that states this service window is closed. They finally took my order seeing if there are cameras out there I’m certain the owners can just have their employees treat their customers. I kind of feel like sometimes establishments forget, it’s the customers they keep their business opened by patronizing them. Hiring the wrong employees no matter how good the product is can easily cause it to shut down because they don’t have the same view as the owner for their establishment.

Thought I’d stop in here to grab a lunch between jobs. Looks better than just going to McDonald’s. Great set up on a corner but I imagine it gets pretty busy at certain times a day or night. Very nice façade. Food was great. One critique . Get nicer help. I don’t need your staff teenager glowering at me because I opened the front door because I’m new to the place and didn’t realize you order from a small window. She looked like I was gonna kill her. I explained you ought to lock the door so people don’t open it.

Ordered around 12:10pm on 8/10. The young lady who was working the window was more concerned about her phone conversation and had terrible customer service. When I got home, I noticed my child’s hotdog was packed upside down with the small amount of ketchup on it smeared on the box, cheese spilling throughout the bag from cheese fries that were soggy, and an burnt funnel cake. Yes, A BURNT FUNNEL CAKE that we literally threw in the trash. I had high hopes for this place smh.

This place has been my go-to spot for ice cream ever since they were at Rising Sun and Cottmon Aves, sharing a parking lot with Dunkin’. Their ice cream is always delicious, and they have the perfect jimmies, not the ones that taste like candy. Usually, I’d rate the ice cream itself 4 or 5 stars. But today’s visit left me completely disappointed, and it all comes down to cleanliness and food handling.
Here’s the issue: the person who took my order also cashed me out, and then, without gloves or washing their hands, immediately started making my order. They went straight from handling money to handling my food. That’s a big no-no! They even touched the part of the spoon that goes in my mouth and the part of the waffle cone I’d normally eat.
Worse yet, they also reached right into the container of jimmies and picked up the utensil used to scoop them, with their bare hands, before using it to sprinkle the jimmies on my order.
In the background, another staff member was adjusting the cone holder and had their hands all over it. Even though there’s a paper wrapper at the bottom, they touched everywhere including the part I’d usually eat. It’s just not okay to see them touching the food like that.
There needs to be hand washing or glove use, especially when the same person is taking money and making orders. This isn’t sanitary and is frankly disgusting.
Please do better, Richmond Ice Cream and Burger Co. Cleanliness matters just as much as flavor.
