Love the atmosphere of it all. We had a wonderful evening full of good food served with flare and intrigue. It was fun my wife’s dress matched my drink. There is a show with the drinks check out my video. The food was superb. We ordered smoked salmon as an appetiser and it was so good. My wife ordered the pork shank which was fall off the bone and delicious, I had the shrimp and grits and it was really good. If we were celebrating again and in the area, I’d eat here again.

My husband and I celebrated a late anniversary meal at the Rice House. The atmosphere was nice and the food tasted good, but honestly not worth the price we paid. There was a set menu, so we did not get a range of choices and the meal was set at $135 per person minimum not including drinks. Its worth a try, just be prepared for the expense and to order from a limited menu.

Okay so I’m not sure if Rice House has had a makeover but the Valentine’s Day dinner I had there was superb! The food was excellent from the Salsify and fried oyster soup to the bison steak. It was all amazing. The waitstaff are also great. I think my favorite moment was when I was trying to decided between the soup and a special salad. I asked our waitress which one and she said, “the salsify soup everyday and twice on Sundays. You can get those leaves anywhere.” AWESOME! You absolutely cannot beat that southern charm. We will definitely be back!

Atmosphere and ambience was really nice, and the service staff were excellent, however the food was nothing very memorable. We had the Valentines Day 4 course fixed menu. Duck breast was chewy and overly sweet. Pork belly was very tough, almost like chewing leather. The bison ribeye steak however was excellent and perfectly cooked. The dessert of chocolate panna cotta was good, but not terribly impressive. Overall it was overpriced (dinner for 2 came to about $200 without alcohol). I doubt we will go back, but overall at least it was a very pleasant evening out with my wife.

The food was amazing! Definitely way better than the other restaurant at Barnsley. They do automatically add 20% for tip, though. If you don’t pay attention, you may end up tipping again and spending 40% on tip.

Very strange experience. I ordered the watercress salad with salmon and the salad was maybe two tablespoons in size. There were two small pieces (bit size) of watermelon with it. The price was ridiculous in terms of what I received on my plate.
