After living in VB for a long time and passing by this place for a long, I finally stopped in here for lunch. Very upset I have been here sooner. Has that good southern vibe I miss. Which is not found often around here even though we are still in The South. Food was great, I had the rib combo lunch platter. Service was great. Lunch was quiet, which was nice. Prices are good. Overall very happy here and will be back.

Every trip to Virginia Beach requires a visit to Rib City. There aren’t adequate words to describe the food here; it’s something you absolutely must try. Delectable ribs that literally melt in your mouth. The brisket is just as good. My husband actually had two full racks of ribs…and he’s not a big guy. Our waitress was a delight and made our experience that much more enjoyable. Do yourself a favor and make Rib City a must!!

lived here 26 years. What a waste not going here sooner! I happen to absolutely love the old school, dated interior. Felt like when my family would enjoy a dinner out back in the day. Warm, inviting, just hugging you walking in. The prices for the bounty of delicious food you get, is unmatched anywhere anymore. Our waiter, Kyler, was perfect. Never overbearing or rushing us one bit. I got the full rack of baby back ribs, and they kept the printed promise from their menu, that if they don’t fall off the bone, they’ll pay for the dish. No need to. It was mouthwatering! My husband got the pick 3 and almost cleaned his plate. We were both delighted with the entire dining experience. I strongly recommend this place, and for those who maybe didn’t have the same experience as us, too try it again. Bravo!!

This is the worse bbq I’ve ever had. The food was not up to standard. The food was a very very small portion for 30 dollars , and the taste was horrible. The plate looked like it was for a toddler and the beef wasn’t well cooked and tasteless. never again.

I cant even begin to explain how terrible the food was, it reminded me of when I was in new York at a restaurant and they didnt season a damn thing, by far the worst bbq in all of america, how in the hell is this place open aside from the senior citizens that think this place is good. Id rather eat a microwave banquet meal from Walmart. My dogs wouldn’t even eat the leftovers

This is an awesome spot! Had dinner here with the family and they aren’t lying that they have the best ribs ever. Plenty of seating. Friendly service. Delicious sides and amazing desserts. Give then a try! You won’t regret it.

It had been about 13 years since I had been back and unfortunately, I won’t be back again.
Something had happened that day where one of the servers had to leave unexpectedly so they pulled a cook or busboy out to act as a server/waiter. This individual made me feel it was an inconvenience that we came in. It was 15 minutes before we even got our water and sweet tea.
The food was highly over priced and portions were small. It was totally not like it was years ago. The water tasted off and the sweet tea, well, that wasn’t sweet tea.
It really was a disappointment.

I feel like it’s getting harder and harder to find good barbecue at an affordable price in the area. Rib City delivers! Everything I have ever ordered here has been great, but their smoked beef is my favorite. Always smoky and flavorful, perfectly sliced and trimmed, with no extra fat. Just check out that smoke ring in the smoked beef salad… Chef’s kiss!
