We arrived just when they opened. We ordered egusi soup, eforiro, pounded yam and suya. The gentleman was kind enough to let us know it would take 30 minutes since they had just opened. Everything was fresh and well seasoned.. Very Nice . We will be back

Found this little hole in the wall in Wheaton. Flavor of the food was great, completely fixed my craving for peanut soup and egusi. However they mixed up and gave me beef instead of chicken, luckily I also like beef so that wasn’t much of a problem. My issue was with the lateness, i called in and was told to pick up in 15 minutes. In true West African fashion it was ready 30 minutes later. I work from home so this meant my lunch break was cut to only 15 minutes.

My first time coming here after I got lost for 30 mins looking for this place, I came in I told them what about the two men were pleasant and nice. Furthermore, I ordered cassava and ettieke with fish but I only liked ettieke it was good and tasty, the cassava didn’t taste good the meat inside wasn’t tender nor flavorful so very disappointed bc i’m from West African like them I’ve been looking for a good western food. I hope they do better next time ):

You will never get all of items that you pay for! I let it slide a couple times because the items were not the main dish. But how many times does an establishment continuously forget things? No one answers their phone. I ordered on dash- only to receive the meat pies which were broken into pieces and never received the egusi soup or amala. This was definitely done intentionally, because how the hell do you forget the the the soup. It’s the main dish. Just lazy, inconsistent, inconsiderate and deportable.

Tasty food, but could do more with taking it easy on the salt. Too salty that one can’t enjoy the tasty flavors. Also signage very important. Address is ok but signage has another restaurant name instead of Rhuts..

I was disappointed. They didn’t have the soup I wanted so I got okra soup. It took an hour and some minutes for the order to be ready. When I tried it, it felt like a waste of money. The soup was tasteless and unseasoned. The meat tasted like they were just boiled and dumped in the soup. I expected more .

I bought egusi soup here before which was decent the first time and thats why I decided to buy again. This time it was nasty and seemed watery in some areas. Plus there was this weird shaped scary dry fish she added which I was upset about. Like before you add fish, first ask someone if they would like it in their soup. I did not finish the egusi soup because the taste was off so I threw it away.

The food was was absolutely delish! Flavors were amazing, portion sizes were huge and best of all, they have the deep fryers going so the fried fish and chicken within the African stews were full of crisp and yummmm. They are inside of Chicken Basket so check them out!
